Like RC said, that D is part of the question. So YOU'RE wrong as well. What's the real answer? I still say it can't be determined.

Hm...I'm pretty sure that's a question mark after the D. Which means D is part of the question.

I agree with both of them :D.

In the question, A+B=C, if A=C and C=B, what does D=?

in fact, A+B=C, if A=C and C=B isn't even a question if thats what you mean, therefor there is no answer.

"D" is not in the question then there IS NO "D"

I have a question that NONE of you will ever get:
If A+B=C and A=C and C=B then what does D=?

Hm...I'm pretty sure that's a question mark after the D. Which means D is part of the question.

FAIL

No accually it said "in the question" the question is A+B=C! The rest is just added on to make the whole question complete. I could have said, "In the question, A+B=C, what does D=?" or, "If A=C and B=C then what does D=?" The letter "D" is before the ? mark because it is part of the WHOLE question and not in the afore mentioned A+B=C. That is why this is a NONSENCE QUESTION!
P.S. I haven't learned Algebra yet but I am next year. =P

Maybe you should have learned Algebra before posting because the D is most definitely part of the question. The A+B=C is the given expression, the A=C and B=C are conditions for the expressions and D is the variable we are supposed to find. So to us, it definitely looks like you're asking us to find D and based on what information you've given us, there is no possible way to do that. And don't argue the math with me, I just finished my college-level Calculus course, I know what I'm talking about.
Note: If some say that I have been on the site it was just breifly to view any new hacks or custom music.

I'm sorry to say that Everybody in this thread took this question too literally. This was not not an algebra question. This was a question to get you people to over-think it.

I DID say that it wasn't a math question, and I was part right! :D

Doesn't that tell you anything at all? So when you say EVERYBODY, I hope you don't mean me...and besides, you won. You made us over-think. Now what. Now we let this thread die in peace. THANK GOD!

I'm more along the lines of throw this thread into the burning depths of hell. That would payback for all that happened.

YoshiNextGen: If you make another thread like this one, I'm ready to prove you wrong again. :P
I'm really sorry for anyone that got offended by my lost post.:) Sorry about saying Everybody. I'm really sorry!

3 ways of answering it:

1. Obviously this is a description of the universe after it is destroyed. A= 1st dimension, B= 2nd dimension, & C= 3rd dimension. Since, after the universe is destroyed, there is only a single lonely geometric point left, there is nothing left in any dimension. Therefore, D= 4th dimension (The 4th dimension is essensially time), & D= 0.

2. A map of the universe. Pertaining also to dimensions, like the last one. A= X location, B= Y location, & C= Z location. Since all are 0, it must be the very center of the universe. Since A, B, & C cover 3 dimensions, D must therefore be the 4th, time. A, B, and C specify where the universe began (if it began a millimeter off, then according to the chaos theory, depending how the fabric of the universe reacted to that, then we could all be dead tomorrow) So therefore D specifys where time itself began. However, we do not know D, as it was not specified in the question, so we do not know where time began. If the pattern continues, E would be the 5th dimension's starting point.

3. BLARRRRRRG MY BRAIN HURTS Time to watch some brain-numbing spongebob with a piece of banana cake
Were it so easy...
Doodzz. According to my calculations, the only way this could work would be if A=0, B=0, and C=0. If that sequence continues, D=0.
The only logical way is to treat it like a sequence, because there is no other way. I officially state that
D=0
When you use binary as a level, nobody knows what level you are! *laughs manically*

D equals C and A?
Oh...that was meant to be a joke?
D=D
Cause D isnt a true varable
D = nickyxplosions awsomeness because A and B And C are not equivalent to my awsome!!!
Toaster, Nickyxplosion, boozer, The Kid

I have many names :p
