Well I have been working on this now for maybe a month or so. I work fast (I am done World 2) but there is still a lot to do. My OW needs events, fine tuning etc...

I plan on making this game twice as fun as the last one and can be completed without savestates but still have the right amount of difficulty (after all, an easy hack is no fun). Another thing I am working on is not nearly as much lag like in the first game. My goal is to limit the lag to none. So far I have had no issues with it on my computer at least.

Yes I still have a lot of work to do as I am making cut-scenes and what not with a bunch of new worlds to explore and a more connectivity to the story. Some new graphics are implemented but some classic MKM graphics remain :) like the ? blocks, note blocks, water, etc..

Another thing I have done is added in my own choice of custom music and all I can say is the music fits perfectly with the levels!

- Some ASM Changes



























Some ExGFX and other material were made by me, and some from the SMWcentral community. All credits will be mentioned in the credits section like last game.

I drew the title screen stuff, some waterfall rocks, the rainy level rain and FG, Angry sun BG, also the FG for the castle with the chains. There's more but it's not in a screenshot here.

Well, I havent played the first one, but if anything, sequels will either be better or worse, PLEASE pull off the good one, its looking great so far!
This really does look good, graphics look clean and crisp to me, especially the 3rd screen. I'm also glad your getting rid of the lag, because Mushroom Kingdom Meltdown 1 suffered a lot of it, sometimes even making the game frustrating to play. If you can successfully get rid of the lag and tone the games difficulty down a lil bit, you got yourself a pretty great hack. I look forward to playing this. Oh and on screen 7, why is there a single odd piece of tall grass among the short ones?

This hack looks pretty good! I enjoyed the original one, even though because of computer problems, it got deleted before I could finish it. INCLUDING the SRAM, so I have to start it over. :/

Seems like there is yet another great hack coming up. I love the screenshots, nice graphics, nice design and I see some creative ideas. I'll play this when I get the chance!
Cool looking sequel. I remember Artsy was ticked off when he reached the "Mysterious enemy" level in the first one and it didn't work. Has to told you yet?

What do you mean it didn't work? Like he couldn't enter the castle? If that's the case he had to push L+R to get in it. Whatever your L and R buttons are set to.

Eh, whatever. It may be my emulator weirding out or something. These kind of things happened on ZSNES with SMW2+3.

Anyways, that Thwomp boss would've been better later in the game. It's a hard boss, and something about the size of the room is messing up my timing.

Looks awsome, but in the third picture, it appears theres something wrong with the left edge of the spring...

EDIT: Also noticed there appears to be a weird block in the 5th image on the right side.

If you look closely, there's a bit of grass in front of it.

Anyway, this is looking pretty great so far! I played the first one, but didn't complete it yet...

EDIT: Now I'm level 6! Goombas are awesome!
Is that the actual in-game music?


I asked the same question on the Youtube page. It is the music for the level, but his computer recording doesn't record sound so he had to add it in afterwards.
