It was so good in fact that I'm going to download the hack when it's released and not sleep until it's beaten. Life is good.
Woah, woah, woah... that trailer is actually one of the best ones I have ever seen in a while! As for the hack itself, although I haven't checked the first one yet, this one looks pretty great - I can spot some good level design, with lots of unlinearity right there. Liking your graphical choices there, as well, since most of the graphics you are using sort of remind me of TSRP2, which I reckon that's an excellent hack. You also seem to be very creative with your levels - I have noted a couple of levels throughout the whole trailer that seem to have pretty nice concepts (for instance, that one mine cart level/the pseudo-3d building, etc).

Liking what I've seen so far - I should actually put my hands on this hack once it sees the light of the world!

So... er... how do you beat the first boss? I can't figure out how to reach him....
I couldn't figure it out for the longest time, but this is what I did: Grab a shell. Then bounce off the next shell and toss your first shell at him. It was very hard for a first boss. The shells I jumped on kept falling into the lava, and bouncing on the second shell with the first in hand was hard.

The graphics in this hack are really pretty, and there is some really nice level design at times. After the first world though, I feel like there's hardly any screens without 5 enemies on them at once. Most of the challenge of the game comes from either: A) the rediculous amount of enemies or 2) Battling my patience so I dont just run in screaming loading save states to dodge said enemies. Theres a rediculous amount of slowdown, at least once per level. There's not too many hard jumps, but man, If i never see another fire spitting pirahna plant I'd be happy. Seriously overused. Though it did make me really happy when I killed the pirahna plant boss. The bosses are all pretty hard, but hey, they are bosses so why not.

A few glitches on the overworld too. On a lot of the pipes I can press down and get sent to the middle of nowhere.

Overall, I think this would be an absolutely amazing hack if it was a bit lighter on the enemies.

Wow great job on this Hack!!Its much better than the 1st one. Im already halfway through and can already say this is lining up to be one of my favorite hacks ever! Although Im not sure that this is the right place to post this, Ive got one question: How do you acess the secret exit in Grasslands 4? The ke and keyhole are in plain site at the bottom of th screen but there doesnt seem to be any way to acess them! If anyone could help me that would me amazing since I try to 100% everything I play.

I got a problem and I do not know if it's a technical problem or if there is a trick to this.

Spoiler warning, since it is one of the last levels (I think).

In the secret level "Are you Blind" (The one that looks like it's from the game'Shift', it has 'deactivated' ! switch blocks. I switched all 4. Is this a glitch or is there something I have to do?
How many people actually bothered to complete MKM1? I'm not going to start MKM2 until I complete MKM1, which is annoying considering how I want to know the full story, but I really like the look of MKM2(it looks loads better than MKM1)...

So far this has been really fun, but how come Mario starts back in the present if at the end of the last game he confronts the mysterious enemie? I know the mysterious enemie says that it's too late at the end of MKM1, but Mario should still fight him. It would've made more sense if Mario had started in the year 4001 I think it was rather than back in the present. (Which for some odd reason looks a lot diferent...)

So far it's really fun though, and it's certainly better than MKM1. Especially palette wise...

I tried to make the sequel a lot more fun with a bunch of different elements thrown at the player, so they don't know what's coming next. So far it looks like I've succeeded by making the sequel better than the original.

The ending freaked me out.


I found the trick a couple days after the post was made so no worries.
The only annoying thing is the amount of secrets that are just shortcuts to previous levels. I admit, it's handy for ducking back to Castle 3 and restocking on capes, but it really starts to get annoying when I get to world 7 and 8... "Oh, maybe now I'll get the Red Switch Palace. ... Gorram it."

Also, is there supposed to be something in the level "An Explanation?" Nothing but a door and a time machine... which leads to the time machine which leads back to world 5.
