The ruins have at last been unearthed.

You knew this was destined to happen. You knew, after years of searching, and after waiting for so long, that the Valley Fortress would finally be discovered.

You're standing at the doorway, clearly in awe. The large gates opens. You enter. You see a red stone on the ground, surrounded by a circle of yellow spikes.

What do you do?

You throw munchers on the yellow spikes.

(Posting here just for the sake of me discovering VF (and be the 1st person who posted here :D (if you exclude SNN (really))))

Posting here after looking at SNN's latest posts :P

I slowly approach the yellow spikes with caution, observing the bad colours used to make them. Ignoring my inner critic, I bend over to reach the stone, but cannot grasp it. I decide to jump, hoping to aquire the stone, revealing what I hope to be another exit. With total anticipation, I bend my knees and take a deep breath, hoping I don't land on the spikes. A sweat drips from the side of my face, I wipe it off, I can't die now, not after my long strenuous journey to find this place, this haven, this secret meant only for the unique individual.

I take the plunge.

...and land on the stone! I slightly lose my balance, but seem to gain it after waving my hands to regain my stance. I pick up the stone, and turn it over numerous times in my hand. Now what? I have the stone ... what should I do next? The grey block ... the block! It can't be there for decoration ... it must have something to do with this room, this puzzle. I turn the stone a few more times, when a thought strikes me. What if I throw it into its open mouth? It's the only thing I can do, this stone can't be a key, it's just a stone after all. I turn side on with the giant block, and aim my free hand towards its mouth. I threw the stone after a few seconds of focusing on the open, gaping mouth. It all happened as if in slow motion, I thought I'd miss, but the stone seemed to find itself into the mouth.

Suddenly, the room started to shake. I nearly fell backwards into the spikes, but a ground-shaking smash flew me across the room, to the right side, where next to the place I lay, is a hole. The grey block seemed to have fallen, smashing a hole into the floor. Looking down into the ditch, there seemed to be a light source coming from below. I couldn't stop progressing now, I had to know what was beyond the first room. With more adrenaline than ever, I jumped in...
As Ersanio threw muncher on the spikes, he couldn't help but notice Blumiere try to screw with the grey face. Little did Blumiere know that the grey face was, in fact, a Thwomp.

GAME OVER, BLUMIERE.

The spikes now have munchers on them, making it even more difficult to proceed. The red stone still sits in the middle of the floor. What do you do?
You throw munchers on the munchers to get stacked munchers.

...Wait, no.

You throw... Turn blocks on the munchers so you can get to the stone.

inb4 the stack is too high to climb on.

The stack can now be walked on .. but .. it seems the Thwomp that is hovering over Blumiere's mangled corpse is getting angry.

What do you do?
You jump on the 1st turn block, and grab that stone and inspect it thoroughly.

oh what is this

ill just wait for SNN to post the next pic

By inspecting the stoen, you learn that it is a Thwomp. How did you not already know it was a Thwomp, anyway?

What do you do?
I'll just wait behind Ersanio, not daring to get near any traps at the moment but most likely going to be hit by something nearby. D=

EDIT:
This is no fun. I'll walk closer to Ersanio, avoiding the munchers nearby and fearing the worst possibility of the Thwomp possibly crushing me by Ersanio dropping me or incoming traps coming from the sides, above, or below.
...and then all of a sudden, all users of the Central gained control over the mysterious white stick thing.

Le gasp!

What do you do, O Brave Adventurer?
You place the Thwomp down onto the ground to your left and place two grey cement blocks over it so it cannot get any higher. You carefully step down, keeping cautious of all traps still, taking the time needed to carefully get down from the turn block you are currently on to the right side of the second one, advancing further in, still keeping an eye out for all traps...
...And then, out of a sudden, a spirit arrives, petrifying all the munchers in that screen, and changing all the RRRRRRRRR to NGGNGNGNGGNG...

Put Blumiere's remains in a bag. There may be use for them yet! Maybe he can be used to weigh down a switch or for rations later.
Without thinking, Ran Yakumo placed the Thwomp upside down, causing it to raise backwards and crash through the floor. The cries of NGNGNGNG could be heard echoing away.

While you carefully stepped off the right turn block, you couldn't help but notice that Blumiere's remains still remain there - and you don't actually have a bag to put them in!

You need to act fast, or you may slip on the gory flesh and hurt yourself! Do you know any magic spells, or have any items you can conjure up out of the blue?

Lord help you now.

With almost nothing to do, you pull out another grey cement block - placing it upon the gory mess with its mass weight will be able to save you from slipping on the mess. Carefully stepping down from the block, you proceed further in, once again, keeping an eye out for traps...
You carefully step into the next room:

You notice a huge wall of flame right in the middle of the platforms. At the end of the room is a pipe. Directly above you is a strange yellow shiny thing .. however, you cannot reach it from your current position.

Also, fire is hot and it burns you.

What do you do?
The O Brave Adventurer summons the oh-so-mighty Ersanio, who proceeds to ASM hack the platforms so they both rise up in SMB1 style. The adventurer proceeds to board one of the platforms on the left side.

Unless they already did that.

Using the ability to swap between 2D and 3D from Super Paper Mario, you notice the fire being only in a 2D state while everything else is in a 3D state. To make sure the platforms aren't going to fall, you take about 5 rocks in a small bag and tie a rope to the opening of the bag and throw it onto the platform, still holding onto the rope. You then jump across to the highest platform after realizing they don't fall and taking the rocks, bag, and rope along.

You examine the yellow object. You take a rock and tie the rope around it to see if the yellow object could possibly be a floating spark. With no reaction at all, you are clueless as to what it is. You then take it in a plastic container and then head through the pipe to the right after reaching the land, watching out for traps still.

EDIT:
Well, what Ersan said pretty much destroys this whole thing. =/

Also, for the sake of proving you wrong about the last area:

I could have easily fit between the gore and the muncher without touching either. :(
The Oh-So-Mighty Ersanio was summoned, and using his ASM skills, he made the platforms move up and down ...

... but oh no! In order to do that, he had to sacrifice some of the landscape around him. The area now has random, strange blue blocks popping up that appear to be sixteen units by sixteen units. Also, the floor you were on was eaten.

The yellow thing is now in reach.

What do you do?
