It takes more than skillful ASM to win this. Think about the -overall- level, and not just one aspect of it. What Atma said sums this up quite well.
I think my level is pretty good, but no one answered my post about the disappearing sprites. Was the video that I posted all right? I think the level was good, and I worked really hard on it, but I am not sure why some of the custom sprites don't appear. Also, the sideways thwomps appear, but they don't move sometimes so will that affect it?
I was going to use that for a boss part at the end, but sometimes I hit the thwomp w/ a koopa, and the thwomp doesn't die.
Also, can we submit the IPS patch in the Upload Bin and then write the hyperlink or can we just submit it directly in the Upload IPS Patch thread?

Aw fuck, two weeks?! That's far too little time! I'm still planning! I desperately need to get to work fast! Probably drawing out every single individual section will help the design phase. I have to hustle... And perhaps recruit some team members. ...yes, that will help set deadlines, and allow for more setting up to be done, so the actual level may be made. I must prepare for this... if that's okay...

tldr: I have little time to waste. I must know if a level may be a team hack.

At this point, no. I could have allowed it at the start of the contest, but I decided against it. To allow it now would be unfair to those who have already submitted a level.
hm, then maybe my ideas are too elaborate (require things I can't do myself) to do in such short time. Maybe I ought to drop out and make it as it's own hack, to not have such a short deadline and so I can have team members...



Or go extreme and make it all myself, taking as much time as I need, and enter it in the second chocolate level contest...

And it's all drawn by hand by yours truly. (Except for the status bar and the Hammer Bro)

I was just wondering b/c no one commented on my post or on my level or gave me any feedback. I just wanted to see if the level was fun or if anyone wants to test the final version before I fix everything and submit it.

Atma, I don't see much of a use for the shrink, as one could just duck jump, right?

In that perticular example, you could just duck jump. However, I plan to make a block that can only be passed through as small mario and place them at the beginning of those passages. I'll also make the areas needing shrink more complex.

Lespna1, your level needs alot of work. besides the technical issues, the level just looks boringly linear.

Yeah. The hand draw graphics are MUCH better than the ripped ones.

Also, SHIT I CAME IN TOO LATE. If I had returned to SMWC earlier I might have been able to come up with something, but now... especially since my hard drive doesn't work... D:<

We are down to ten days left in this. I am seeing some pretty great stuff in this thread which I hope is actually submitted for the contest.

Should be an interesting one to judge, that is for sure.
