Goomba's Revenge

This is my hack "Goomba's Revenge"

Story:

The goombas are enjoying thier time when
the Koopas invade their territory during
the koopa holiday called "Koop-mas"
The koopas enjoy their stay, but the goombas don't.
Also this was a coincidence that X-mas is coming.



I already fixed the big hill.

I also know I need to fix the billblaster's palette.

The BG pallete interfered with the FG pallet thats why the mushroom stems are like that.

i like the overworld
It looks nice. but the foregrounds are very different from eachother, and doesn't fit the OW, also, the house hangs over the ldge oddly, but other than that, it looks fine. EDIT: the top part of the OW is screwed up too. Is that just the screenshot?
Your layout has been removed.
Fix the YI cave palette because those mushrooms looks like shit. Why don´t you use the YI cave background instead of using that Super Metroid BG? :S

Fix the status bar palettes.

Which FG's?

The fort is now replaced with a regular level.
It's just the screen shot.

Well I didn't want to use a common combo of FG and BG.

How do I fix the status bar palletes?


Hum... This blank space is no longer blank.
To fix the status bar, go to an unmodified SMW level and copy the last 8 colors of the first 2 rows of palettes.

It will overwrite colors from the backgrounds you`re using, though...

If not I might be forced to change the BG.

Eh.. No.
Just look at the screens. The status bar of the YI Cave level is fine, right?

I meant, some other BGs, like the 1 in the 2nd screenshot use that palette.
OMG, the bullet blasters have a very wrong palette. ._.

Also, I suggest you move the fort in the OW a bit up... or move the swamp's cliffside down 1 tile. The fort looks like it a bit strange there . :P

It seems like you are mixing game rips, SMW Redrawn, and original SMW GFX. o_O

I think it'd be best if you stuck to one style. :P

The only thing from the original SMW was the
goomba.

I don't know if it's been said already, but your level GFX seem inconsistent. The goomba idea has been done to death.

Otherwise, it looks playable.

Ow= sexy but needs a fix
levels= palette fixes in very obvious places.

Update:

After about two days, I made custom gfx.
Please donot comment about the BG, because this is a sample.
Also the lower dandylion looks glitched, the bg did that.

It looks really awesome! I especially like the trees.
Using original ExGFX makes hacks unique...

You may have used a little too much green, add more colors
to the trees and vines.
I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
