Have you ever wondered how Bowser always kidnaps Peach? Serriously! It's almost like Peach invites Bowser over for a tea party then, inadvertantly, she gets kidnaped.

How about considering where the koopa kids/Bowser Jr. came from, hm?
EDIT: Oh, how he kidnaps Peach, not why. The Toads fail, Bowser could literally waltz right into the castle and carry her away. Either that, or it's since they keep having parties and playing sports together.
If only she didn't hire guards who are half her size and wear diapers, then she would be fine. But no... They insist that, since Mario rescues her every time, there isn't a reason to pay for better security.
What a sad, sad life Mario has.

I've always thought Peach has had a secret relationship with Bowser (that would explain the Koopa Kids appearing multiple times after Mario keeps killing them).
The reason that bowser keeps kidnapping peach is because mario doesn't finish the job. He's supposed to make sure that bowser is dead. I don't know how bowser was still alive after smb1, except for clones, maybe...

That would explain why Bowser never had any burn marks after each castle. Nintendo is too soft (and too aware that they'd lose one of their most popular characters) to make Mario officialy kill Bowser. Of course, they're too soft to tell where all of these Koopa kids came from too.
In my opinion, Bowser always does it agian because Mario is lazy. He doesn't kill Bowser. If Luigi had his own game like SMW etc, He would kill Bowser.
Well, let's face it. Toads make terrible guards. They're, like, one-third the size of Bowser. Most of them don't even carry weapons, and those that do only have spears. Bowser would have no trouble just barging in, killing all the Toads, and kidnapping Peach.

Well then why didn't Luigi kill Bowser in the 2P mode of SMW?
Dont you guys know anything? The ORIGINAL story of why Bowser kidnapped Peach before, was because Bowser cast an evil spell on the toads (this explains the goombas) and Peach was the only person who could undo this evil magic. So Bowser kidnaps her to prevent this from happening. Successive Mario titles, simply use a different form/tactic for the same story. However, there is something between Bowser and Peach (I mean he does like her to some extent), but Im sure she doesnt feel the same way. Much like they don't reveal much of any character's past in the Mario series, Bowser's past is unknown, so likely the koopalings would have been born from someone other than Peach. Otherwise, dont you think they'd be more of Human/Koopa hybrids, when instead they look like smaller variations of Bowser, and Bowser Jr happens to look just like him. So logically, Peach cannot be the mother.
Edit: Another reason for Bowser wanting to kidnap Peach could be that he is doing it to get back at Mario for constantly foiling his plans to take over the Mushroom Kingdom.

The whole Peach/Bowser thing is used in the bulk of the games as a plot device. </boringversion>
But yeah, in most the games, there appears to be little-to-no explanation as to why this ends up happening. It's nice to see things mix up a bit in the RPG's though: in ones like SMRPG, SPM, and BIS, Bowser ends up joining you, and Peach is playable in the first too. The RPG's really allow the Mario games to stretch the story a bit more, which is nice to see.
Mechakoopas? Real guards? Pffft, no way Mechakoopas can be called "real guards." Even Bowser could destroy them. She should hire a mercenary or something to booby-trap her palace for when Bowser arrives.

You guys keep talking about how Bowser can just waltz in and take Peach and walk away like it's nothing. But consider this: how often do you see Peach actually getting kidnapped? And when it is, isn't it usually some elaborate scheme like the castle being lifted in Paper Mario and the airship assault in Super Mario Galaxy? Even in Super Mario Sunshine, he got Bowser Jr. to believe Peach was his mother so that he would kidnap her. Also with the magic paintbrush and such.
Anyway, I think the Toads are too dumb to help, and Peach secretly likes being kidnapped.
I'd say Paper Mario's act of kidnapping Peach was the best, as he took her whole castle into the sky and beyond.
