SMW hack on...lemonade? Or something like that. The first 2 screenshots are fine for my taste, but those orange outlined Rexes are a bit weird for me. Either way, pretty unique.

I agree. Anyway, a very nice effect all the same Spud.
The blue hills in the BG doesn't look like it has enough... shading. You should darken the outline of it a bit more, and i don't like the orange outline on the Sliding koopa and Rex. It looks very well-made apart from that, however. Reminds me of the SMA2 palettes, as they were very bright compared to the original SMW. Dunno where the palette itself would be placed, unless you made a hack consisting of only bright palettes.

Anyway, you did great on the bright palette. ^^

As for the Rexes, I like the orange outlines. However, I also believe I'd need to fix all other graphics to fit with this style, which I hadn't already done, so that's my fault.

And as for the hills, GN, I agree. Not using this, just made it for fun, so I'm too lazy to fix it, but again, I agree.

I'm actually quite fond of the lack of shading on the hills, Spud. The Bananzi Bill's saturated colour scheme really looks nice.

@dakress: Looks great!
@spud: Looks great aswell, but the only thing I don't like is the outlines on the rexes. They look odd.

Not sure which 1 of the 2 I want yet tough.
Also, this is the first time I made an ASM HDMA for a level. :P

Hey, just thought I would show off the palette (and give a sneak preview) for my level for the collab hack Mario's Demented journey.
Sorry, no .TPL.
Overall, I think you have a nice palette there.

However, I have two concerns about it: the clouds in the background seem a bit odd, and the grass part of the foreground looks odd. Make sure the grass has shading.

Still, nice work.

Adding to what ZMann said, the red bush is much to saturated.

@BlackEagle766 - I like the first one better, but I'm not crazy about either of them; the HDMA fades too quickly to black.

Well, I'm toning down the red... so here:

The clouds are a lot less red, and also the bushes aren't dark red anymore.
Those bushes seem too bright now... Red is a very hard color to make palettes with. And what happened to the cobwebs? I rather liked them.

So yeah, I'm not really going to be posting for a while. Not that anyone cares.
I took them off because they didn't actually look too good on the whole level, plus they shared the cloud palette... and the level is already done... submitted, but I probably could submit a fix the the palette.
(Ive been posting alot in this thread, havent I..?)
Anyway, I yet again redid my forest palette, and I believe I got it right now:


And now the vertical level that was previously "Red Mountain". I had to take two screenshots to show everything.

I really like the first pallete. The third one is pretty nice too.
I think the dirt in the 2nd screenshot should be abit darker tough.


Not too long ago I got some wacky idea in my head. And here's the result, rainbow castle:






It's completely vanilla.
I'm thinking of changing the yellow,green and lightblue part abit. It's kind of bright. But otherwise I think it went well.

@kristian I'll try making it fade slower to black.

How is that vanilla? didn't you use HDMA?

No, I used the levelmode 1F (which makes layer 2 transparent) and made a rainbow on layer 2 by making some 16x16 tiles out of the 1 colored 8x8 tiles.
I also gave the tiles layer priority.

Wow, that's an awesome effect. Maybe you should add the sprite that makes layer 2 rise and fall, I think that could look pretty cool.
