General Mario Games Thread

If you all actually researched things about the game, you would've found out that NSMBWii uses too much of the Wii's processes to even be able to handle any form of Wi-Fi.

That's what we call an excuse by Miyamoto. The Grinder is going to have four player co-op in three dimensions online, requiring much more processing power than NSMBW.

I forgot to mention...

In the game, theres a ghost that looks like Broozer (The character not th user).

Sucks that only player 2 can use Luigi.

Because that was Broozer. He was an enemy in the first NSMB as well.

Huh, playing it single player will probably ruin the game, so I'm forcing myself not to play it that way. Seeing as you guys are 100%ing the game and getting bored of it, that would be wise.

Besides, my friend really sucks at it...
He got 10 lives, and when we got to world 2 (besides, we were 3 players, I and my bro included), he lost them all and eventually got game over (luckily, he immediately gets 5 lives right after). He kept yelling "stop killing me stoopid!" "No, you don't need our help to die."...
He got game over 3 times, really! We didn't though.

But the dumb parts are when you turn into a bubble because your friends are going too fast, but right after, all of your allies die, and that is considered as a failure... Interesting, fun.

I beg to differ. I 100%'d the game just today. Now I'm bored of it and will probably never touch it again.

I haven't even beaten World 9 and I haven't touched the game in days because I lost interest.

I need to stop buying Nintendo products.
^^^^ Well I'm addicted to it :D

Question guys! Do you think this game tops SMB3 and SMW?

Definetely, this game beats those two honestly because of the 4-player option.

People keep saying the game doesn't need wifi but it does! I don't have anybody to play with :[

Same problem here. Excpet maybe my cousin, but he comes to me very rarely. :<
Anyway, I'm getting it soon, and I hope it's still fun to play alone.
It still is. Don't worry about that. My bro may come by to play the game with me, but I just beat it :/

However if World 9 does exist...
Multiplayer is hard because of the anarchy,
single player is hard because of the evily placed star coins...

Where to get Reggie New Super Mario Bros. Wii Editor?
I forgot about this thread, so I got NSMB Wii on Monday and I have to say it is really good! New levels with new power ups and creative ideas, and the graphics are nice too. I beat it the day after I got it but now I need to collect everything.

One question, is it possible to get all the star coins by yourself, or do you need 2 or more players to get them?
You don't really NEED friend to get everything, but they can help you out.
(or make it worse D: )
I've started a single player-only file and got 100%. I didn't cheat by checking the videos in order to find the star coins or the alternate exit (except for the level 6-2 or 3's star coin... which was really evil. I've also checked the title of the videos to know where the alternate exits were.)

The most difficult level has got to be level 9-7, closed by 9-5. But it is quite stupid that they turned 9-8 into a bonus level... What's about they make 9-8 something insane and then make a "you have found all star coins in the world 9! World 9-9 is now open! It was quite disappointing, somehow.

I must say I didn't enjoy this game as much as SMB3. The multiplayer is cool, but the single player is far less interesting, for some unknown reasons. The amount of easy lives make the whole game seem too easy. The bonus items that can be stocked aren't as interesting as SMB3's, where there were loads of them. I also noticed how the worlds are considerably shorter in NSMBW than SMB3. Some worlds have over 12 levels in smb3. Some of them aren't "just" levels, like the spiral tower. The fact that you couldn't redo most levels increased the difficulty. The enemy events were actually quite hard (fat hammer bros while small? Also, hammer bros themselves were made much easier in NSMBW...). The SMW star world felt a lot more interesting than the world 9, which has to be unlocked via star coins.

More hidden stuff, I say!

Right here.

Anyway's, Quizler brought this over on Friday and it was pretty damn fun (and funny too). I don't really plan on buying it though, it doesn't really seem worth it to me.
This game runs perfectly on my PC

Only my recorder made it look bad.

When recording:
- My recorder doesn't record sound.
- My recorder makes the game run at 30-40 FPS.

Not recording:
- There is sound ofcourse.
- The game runs at 50 FPS (60 FPS would just be super speed, so I set my maximum speed to 50, besides... It's just like the normal speed)
I completed this game earlier today. Now I'm going through to collect the stuff I missed.
I'm tired.

Sonic 3 Restored patch coming soon
I played it at a freinds house and it was hard but I really liked it I may get it for Christmas.
SMW rocks!
Luigi is the best.

Got this game yesterday, didn't play it, then finished it this afternoon.

I haven't 100%d, but I can say I liked it. The graphics were great, the improvements on NSMB were well done, and the level design was fine. The multiplayer mode, which is hard thing to get working, worked quite well for the most part. It was predictable, not terribly hard (although WAY better than any of the other games 2005+.) and a bit basic, but it ended up being a pretty okay if not fun game. I might 100% it however I don't really see the fun in that- as far as I can tell there isn't much of a reward.

Cool game though, a nice Nintendo. Although not worth 50$- more like 20$ at most, honestly.
I got it for my b-day (6th Dec) it was so fun! I'm on World 5.
