Well, what constitutes as great and epic?
Epic is slightly easier. Almost always in a minor chord, usually slower... But "great" is opinion, isn't it?

It just sounds so badass. ^_^

In terms of great soundtracks the Final Fantasy series is just incredible, in my opinion. My favourites from the game series are that of Final Fantasy IV and VI. The songs that Nobuo composed are just awesome.
