Woah! I made a cutscene in SMW! And instead of still images with text, or blank screens with two characters and text, it actually *gasp* shows something!

And all without any LevelASM or custom sprites. Golly!
ChaoticFox: Those look pretty interesting, actually. ^_^ You really are very, very good at pulling off sprite graphics, I say... those Goomba graphics are definitely superb. Are the foreground graphics also custom-made by you? If so, they also look very appealing - nice work..
Thank you, Broozer. It means a lot to me coming from a great artist like you. The Shyguy was actually my first hand-drawn sprite, so you can easily tell I'm new to this. The foreground was made by me, and there has been some changes to them since that video, such as making the fence look more realistic.

On a more serious note, a picture tells more than a thousand words.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions. /late
As for those who didn't know what those skeletons were for, (which i guess most of you already know) they are my dry bones replacement since the original dry bones don't really fit the style my game is going to anymore

(Sorry about that. This is now the 8th FUCKING TIME I've tried to post this. 3 times my computer has crashed due to photobucket, and the other 5 times my internet has gone out. There was a nice introduction about how this is a preview to what's going on in the hack at one point, but after the 6th time of writing this, I said "ASDGHGHSSSSSS" and just decided to copy/paste this lil' message in instead.) :3
Anyways, 11-23-09 Updates.
Since I don't want to spoil the ENTIRE world, I'll only be posting tiny tidbits of levels here and there; most updates you guys will see from now on will pertain to updating old levels. Keep checking back though, as I will periodically post little teasers (unlike this update, which is a HUGE teaser) for you all.
Updated title Screen. I experimented with various gradients and colors, but I found this one to my favorite liking.
What's this?... I'm... I'm at the final castle? Oh dear. The Front gates. I better go in then...
Damn. It's the "kill-lumos" brigade. My worst nemesis-es!
After much perseverence, I come to what looks like a wall...
A bit of investigation reveals the Main Gate into the Bastion.
That's a fancy door!
Oh... So that's why it refuses to work.
Well, I'd better investigate...
Later on, I've encountered the dungeon!
These Switch activated blocks are going to give me quite the headache.
...They make brain hurt.
After MUCH tenacity and perseverence, I've found that damn gear. =.=
Okay, for months(since my old compy crashed) I couldn't upload videos/screenies directly from my computer. I got a new one, so that has changed. No more videos at random times. Yes consistency. This also marks me switching from SNES9X recording to ZSNES recording. Yay for better quality!
To celebrate, two things;
New palette. Not only did I make the foreground palette(notice usually white stripe is now bright green), I made the BG palette more intense, I like it.
New level and two more custom drawn enemies.
I know it's short, but it's the first level. It also has a secret exit which can only be obtained by hitting the Yellow Switch, which will be found 5 or 6 levels later in the game.
Thanks, ChaoticFox, but nonetheless, I dislike my level, so I'm still going to redo it.
Your level looks great, great ExGFX too, but it needs a custom BG.

I know I said no more bunches of videos, but I have a lot to show to make up for all that not-show.
You've seen this level twice, both times unfinished, and I didn't want to bore you with a boring finished one, so I TAS'ed it. Pretty okay if you ask me.

ChaoticFox: I really like that level of yours and its graphics, but I have a concern. Couldn't the player get stuck and potentially die at 1:08 if he duck-slides into that opening for the multi-coin block as Super Mario?
