I'm glad your enjoying it here. I saw the video, and I suggest that you work on the levels, and then the overworld. I did my overworld first, but it took forever. It is a good idea to do the levels for that world first. Also I saw no problem with the munchers, although I see why some people do. The double munchers topic is all about your view on it.
Thank you for that.

I have a new video out, it's of a new level not yet posted here.

I currently have no screenshots of it at this time, so you must watch the video to see the level.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErUOzuWtj90

It's called "DoubleSided Fever," and my comment is the same as the description: I hope I didn't cross too many lines with this video alone.
Here are some flaws that need fixing in your video...

0:08 - There is upside-down water that serves no purpose. In addition, this ends when you come into contact with the walk through grassland wall tile. If you look through the old removal log, you'll find that this is a removal worthy error because the player can fall through the side! Fix this by putting a solid wall instead there!

0:12 - This looks relatively difficult. Almost kaizo-ish. For an early level, that is.

0:15 - Holy shite. Not only do you have walk through land tiles, but you added in munchers. ;-;

0:19 - OH. They're solid afterall...

0:30 - Alrighty then. This area right here is basically what the entire level is. Mindless Muncher dodging.

Overall, your level is barely at par if you are going for Kaizo level design. If you were trying to not get kaizo level design, you have a long way to go. My advice is to check out some of the featured hacks, and some of the higher rated regular hacks in the hacks section of the site (geeze that was redundant).

Your post sure is fun to read. :P

This level is reletivally far, (this hack is pretty short) it's not a kaizo hack, but a few levels have a skewed difficulty curve, and very few, short (though still there) kaizo-esc parts.

EDIT: I appreciate everyone's feedback. ;)
Skewed difficulty curve and kaizo sections? That isn't gonna cut it on this site.
The main problem with the level shown in the video (Doublesided Fever) is that it doesn't look very fun to play (in my opinion). Not only does it seem very hard, but it's also very monotonous. There are no enemies besides munchers, all you do is swim through the same tight corridor for several screens, then find a switch. If I were you I try to vary your level more so that the player doesn't find himself getting bored from repetition. Even in a tough 'Kaizo' hack it's still good to have unique level design.

As the previous users said, this level is quite bland. Map16 is great and all of that, but it isn't when used like this. If you're making a Kaizo hack, do realize that it won't officially make it to the site. You'll have to post it in a thread like this. May I suggest revamping the level though? The upside-down concept is interesting; however, most people don't like floating water and especially not munchers used to an extent. Also, I'd recommend making an arrow or something point to the block with switch and extending the ground where the goal sphere is located.
Like I said, this isn't a kaizo hack.

No, that's not what I said.

I said very few, kaizo-esc parts.

I meant some parts much harder than others, though still not kaizo.

This isn't going to take a billion savestates to beat. :P

I know of this, and I disagree with those people. 8>

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.
I know; I'm just letting you know that a large amount of people, including myself, are perfectly fine with floating water in a normal situation. But, I'd have to say that you overused it quite a bit for no appearant reason. How about putting it upside-down on the ceiling as this is a "flipped gravity" type of level?

I don't know, it's sort of a distorted gravity, in the sense.

Like the gravity isn't up or down, it's in the middle. That's why things have two sides..?

The only reason the BG doesn't have two sides, is because it would be much too challenging for me to put in the same BG as two sides, because I don't believe there are enough Map16 tiles in one page for the entire BG, so it would require me actually make my own BG..And...All though me not doing that sounds selfish and self-conceited, is too challenging at the moment.

Fortunatally, the BG is irrelevant.

Though, that's a good idea for a different level, thanks.
