The other day i got reeeeaaaaaaally bored. I mean super craptastically bored. So i open Lunar Magic and start working on my SMW hack. And the moment I started up the level I was testing, a thought struck me. "Is it possible to play emulated games on the PSP?" I puzzled. Then I remembered back to about a year ago when I was actually looking around the internet for PSP emulators and how to work them on the system, and when i found the method (Custom Firmware), I read up on it. Then i remembered getting disappointed because it was so freakin complicated! Pandora batteries, Flashing, proper motherboards and the risk of BRICKING!!! No thank you.
So I left that alone and forgot all about it......until now! (Er, the other day) I decided to look up the CFW (Custom Firmware) method again and i stumbled upon a nice little surprise that went by the name of ChickHEN, a program that allows you to put CFW on your PSP without a Pandora Battery and modified Memory Stick. So i got a nice little tutorial which showed me how to install ChickHEN and two other programs. PSPident which tells you what motherboard you have, and Hellcat's Recovery Flasher which installs the CFW onto the PSP (provided you have the correct motherboard, or your PSP will get bricked).
So I installed the Custom Firmware onto the PSP and I couldn't be more happy! I can finally play SNES, N64, GBA and so much more on my PSP!!!! Now i play SMW Hacks wherever I go! ;)

So yeah i just wanted to share my happiness with all of you guys! And if anyone is wondering how to do this, don't hesitate to ask!
I too am a proud custom firmware user. When i first got snes9xtyl on my PSP i was so excited, and the possibilities of PSP hacking can only get better!
Would that kind of stuff work with Xbox 360?

Current Project(RPGVX) Seals of Corruption.

I don't think the PSP can handle the specs of the XBOX 360.

I would be very interested in this, I have always wanted to know how to do it. I can only do this with a DS.
No i meant like putting the emulation on xbox360

Any chance that you have a link to this tutorial? I ended up giving up failing. SMW hacks while travelling... would be so much win.
Okay! I've been gone for awhile working, but now i'm back and BANG! Here is the link to a site that will give you everything you need to hack your PSP!

http://pspslimhacks.com/

There are tutorials and downloads on the site and it's easy to navigate. But before you do anything drastic make sure you understand the tutorials 100% or you could seriously harm your PSP. But if you follow the instructions given to you, it should be all good as long as you have the correct motherboard on your PSP.

What folder do I install ChickHEN in? I'm stuck, and cant find the main root for the memory stick or whatever.
Not really sure where ChickHEN goes seeing as I never used it to install CFW on my PSP. However, I can tell you that the main root of the memory stick is the first thing that appears on whatever drive your memory stick is on. For example, if you stick is located on the F drive, then the root of the memory stick will be "F:\".

--------------------
Just place h.bin on the root, as fabio described. Then place SLIM or PHAT folder in your picture folder on the memory card. (If you got a PHAT, use the PHAT folder, SLIM uses SLIM.)

Thanks guys. I got the problem taken care of this morning.
That's great! I'm gonna buy a special cartridge to play hacks on my SNES.
Thanks for the link! Took me 5 hours, but it worked! This will really come in handy.
No problem, and ya it took me like all day to figure it out myself lol
