It will be a 2D platformer, but I'm not sure what I'll else it will have (as I said, I just started today). However, I'm in desperate need of someone who can draw good 8-bit player graphics. PM me if you can and I'll give you more information.

Hello all. I've made a few sprites and I'm almost done with each character's individual "stats" if you will. I guess I should summarize them too. But before that I'd like to tell you more about this hack. First of all you will be playing as Ninten, Lloyd, Ana and Teddy. The story will be this:
I'm having so much fun with you all. What is this I don't even, the lights went out.
Basically, the sceen shows all four characters playing around in his room, went the lights go out, and I'm not going to go any further. Basically, it will be the story of the first mother game with changes to the plot line. So this hack will never be completed unless I actually finish the game (not the hack, the actual game I'm basing it off), since I haven't got a clue how it turns out. I'd like to think in the end, I might get a few people in mother and they themselves can analyze the differences between this hack and the game. Anyway, I really need player GFX. The video would have shown more if only I had player GFX.
EDIT: Forgot the character stats.
-Can Spin Jump
-Shoots fireballs at the cost of 1 coin each
-Uses her PK powers to kill all sprites on screen at the cost of 300 coins
-Wields a knife to stab enemies

Fixed a boss sprite. Besides that, no progress.
Okay so giving the knife to Teddy has been a real pain so far. Should I just get rid of it? I'm saying this becuase keeping it would mean you could instantly kill any enemy in the game. So the choices are
A.) keep the knife and kill anything at no cost.
B.) keep the knife but make it cost coins to use.
C.) Replace the knife with something else.
Hm, how many coins should the knife cost? Also, I'm thinking of switching Ana's speed with Ninten's. oh and Ana's PK power literally kills everything. I've been considering making it cost half of your total coins.
Should I disable both the knife and PK power during boss battles?
Yeah, probably for boss battles I would. Or you could program set amounts of hits from each of them. For example, it takes 4 of Ana's PK Power, or 8 knifes to defeat a boss. If you've been having a lot of trouble with it and you have a lot of coins, it may be worth it to use them to try and defeat the boss. This would add another element to the gameplay, but it may be too confusing to add, so I might not waste my time on it.
I was thinking of making Ninten's spin jump do double damage but It would be hard to go anywhere in between with Teddy's knife. It's either kill or nothing. I;ve still yet to code interaction with Lloyd's fireballs. I was thinking of setting it to 1/3 damage of a jump or maybe even 1/2 damage. As for Ana's PK power, I think I could make it do a a cetain amount of damage-- not too sure.
