Tip: Take advantage of easy to install Patches in your hack. The No More Sprite Tile Limits patch should be considered if you're encountering glitches where Mario and/or sprites are turning invisible. Not logged in.

This is a little something I've been working on for the past month or so, after not working on it for several. It's pretty much one of my attempts to fundamentally change how the game works.

Features:
Yoshi actually plays like Yoshi
Various graphic, sound and gameplay tweaks
Custom music in every level

This demo covers most of World 1, though due to time constraints is missing two levels and the boss, though all finished levels are fully playable.

EDIT: apache. HAET.
EDIT2: ...the link was pulled out from under me.

I'm on level 3 and so far It's not bad. I like how you used Yoshi as Yoshi instead of editing Mario's graphics as an awkward standing up Yoshi. My only real problem is that the game seems to be based too much on sprites and gameplay rather than level design, which I see as a pretty big flaw :/

Well most of the level design thus far was done like 6 months ago, when I temporarily lost interest because some things were still generally broken >.> The castle is completely new though

--------------------
I'm up to the castle and it does seem generally better. Except I've noticed that the hack depends WAY too much on wall jumping. :O

That's because it's my new toy >.>

I liked this demo. It is honestly the only hack (besides Kaizo Mario) that I played all the way through. Admittedly the only reason I played it was because I saw wall jump and wanted to see if someone had used my patch or if it was just blocks (I'm narcissistic that way). Did you use the Wall jump available on the site or did you make your own? Either way, you seem to have the same glitch in it that I have, which I could post here if you wanted me to, though I'm not going to now since I know no way of fixing it and most people wouldn't even notice it.
Anyways, there was a few things I noticed that I'll post here so you can see them.

Just a minor thing, but i've seen a lot in hack removal log about bottom row tiles where you can't see them. Not a problem to me, but some people might...

Erm... this kinda appeared to be on purpose, but did you want the player to be able to float like this?

yeah... I jumped on a bunch of those red Pirhana plants and this happened, though I can't for the life of me think of why...

Weird black tiles when the events happen.

That's pretty much all I saw that was wrong with it, beyond all those things this was actually a very fun hack.

As I said before, if you want me to post the glitch with the wall jumping here I can, but if you don't want anybody else to see it (as I kinda don't) PM me and I'll send you the glitch.
That is a modified version of your walljump patch. Those note blocks are meant as sort of a "Surprise, you can go this way" thing, though what you're technically supposed to to is take the koopa, running-jump off the end of the platform, spit it at just the right time, bounce off it, grab the other koopa, hop off the two below it and spit-hop again...

dang that was a mouthful o.o

anyway, the glitches with the note block and the OW tiles I have no idea how to fix, but the latter disappears when you load from SRAM. The graphic corruption is apparently a bug with dynamic sprites, I've seen it happen in SCORPION's hacks occasionally...

also, if the walljump glitch involves the lack of a wall, just STZ freeram 3 and 4 first thing each frame. (...or was it 1 and 2? whichever set is "can walljump this frame")

--------------------
yes, that is the problem. Actually, that won't work since the can walljump RAM is only set once about every 3 frames when you are against a wall (it's the way the blocked status works... i dunno...), so if you set it to zero every frame, it will only let you wall jump 1/3rd of the time (trust me, I worked on this for a very long time...), though if you think you can figure it out that would be great if you would let me know.

By The Way: I'm very happy to see someone use my patch so well, I really loved this hack.
Probably there are a problem in the graphics, you´ve recall on the "errors".Anyway, when you´ll fix it, this hack will be NICE.I like very much the hack with Yoshi as player!!!!

Merry Christmas and new Year!!!
