I have a hack called Epic Yoshi
World. It currently has no storyline
and only 1 level. This is that level:


Should I make more? Tell me what you think...
My suggestion is to make it less linear and add more enemies
(by the way is it your first hack?).

The level design looks pretty boring, and I had to stop because the music started frustrating me. It was that very fitting, and it's seems that it might be broken because this one part kept on looping.

My main complaints are that the 3up moon is too easy to get, you use the silver P-switch pipe glitch (what's the point of that section anyway? Just flutter jump carrying the first blue switch you get..) and the level design quality.

It's good that you put alternate paths and encourage exploration, but it's still looking a bit too flat. There should be more variety screen to screen, not just between levels. Play around with custom palettes to make levels look different too.

Make more levels, you'll improve as you progress.
It's not a good idea to abuse glitches, but otherwise it's a nice linear level. Thank god for that.

First off, the song does not fit. At all. And the loop is messed up. What addmusic did you use?
An invisible 1-up that is a bit too easy to find. Make it more difficult to find, like, placing more ledges, and using coins as hints for the order in which to hop on the ledges.
The 3up moon is too easy to get, and the rope is connected to something that isn't solid, which means "sense = 0"
The graphics you chose are nice, but it's useless, because most stretches of land I see are undecorated. This translates to boring, which we want to avoid.
The level is very linear, but it would seem suitable for a first world level, with a few modifications.
My biggest gripe is the music. That level strikes me as a "On to Grass Town" kind of level, I'd probably use that song instead of Bubble Man.

Pretty much get rid of ALL the 1-ups in this level. At LEAST have it more un-linear. The music doesn't seem right and doesn't fit.
Overwise, not bad, not good either...

Just watched the new video, and it's improved. The gripe with the music remains, but I'm sure you're looking into that.

The thing thats really bothering me, is that you can 'flutter jump' when you duck.
