AddmusicM V0.92

After you patch init and it fails did you try inserting the music?
I had the same problem.. but I didn't test the insertion yet.

Anyway, this was unexpected. A new addmusic. I honestly thought Romi's was going to be the last one, but what do i know?
I don't think i will bother with this yet, since im still an inexperienced porter and this still seems to be in it's beta stages.

Hey guys! Are you finding typing out

Code
addmusicm.pl -b blist.txt -l list.txt

already starting to get tedious?

I already made a batch program to do the work for you, so that you don't have to keep doing that!

Here you guys go! I hope it helps a bit! :D
I believe I recall SNN saying that INIT.asm will bork your ROM until music is inserted.

Yes it will. It will crash on you after the - Nintendo Presents - logo if you haven't done the
Code
addmusicm.pl -b blist.txt -l list.txt

process after patching the rom. It'll just hang on you.
You know a tool is great when its release makes you feel so behind in your hacking skills. This is one of those tools.

But I'll keep using Romi's for now.

Question: The songs with the new N-SPC commands, can they be inserted with Romi's? I'm guessing not...

You hear dice being thrown...
My SMW ROMhack: Super Market Roll Drums is active once again!
Second 2014 C3 Demo Here ([thread] [demo])
Lunatic Lolo, an Adventures of Lolo 2 hack: 20/54 Levels ([C3 thread] [demo])
addmusicm.pl -m
enter
romname.smc
enter
list.txt

creates the file that will show you the music's name in lunar magic.

Also to confirm for people, you patch INIT.asm first, it should crash the rom, then insert the blist and list and it'll be fixed.

Also it inserts some overworld songs for use in levels. Jumping in bowser's boss battle song creates glitchy sounds. The Yoshi's island OW them becomes underwater theme.

Also, anyone know how to insert sd and mddd? They sound really odd to me.

Oh, I don't know if I should post this... oh well.

So a long time ago, I found a bunch of Japanese ports. I never got them to work, but with AddMusicM, nearly all of them worked. I ripped SPCs of each port (that sounded like it worked), and I uploaded them to a ZIP on my website. You can check them out here. They're actually pretty interesting if you saw the .txt files, the way they're made. Hmm..

Again. These are NOT mine.
I made English version of addmusicM.pl and
a minimum of English readme.

Oh wow, this is completely amazing. 255 different samples ^_^

I haven't tested it, but judging by those ports, it's far better than previous versions of addmusic. Awesome job with all of the new commands - I should definitely use this sometime.

The main appeal of addmusicM is that
each PCMset can contain 0x8000 bytes of brr files.
(0x8000 bytes space for non-resident samples)

Did you know they all already worked with Carol's addmusic if you insert MORE.bin with the -a option (I think that was the lettter)
(and had the correct .bnks)

Man I can't play any of the .spc's still. Is there anything better than Audio Overload?

But still... this now blows other addmusic's out of the (well I dunno where addmusic programs primariily dwell).

Hot damn, I didn't realize that. I must use this program! :D
I'll assist in converting the 'popular' sampled ports to this format from .bnk since I'm assuming these are incompatible. I hate having two formats that do the same thing + are incompatible and addmusicm looks like the way to go. I want to prepare blocktool for upcoming lunar magic release though and a few other projects I have to work on top of that, but I'm up for it when I have the time. I haven't actually tried the app yet but I'll get around to it soon. cool stuff.
Yeah I tested the $F3 method using .bnk files, and it doesn't work. .brr files may be the way to go at this point.

Thanks for translating that homing. It is much appreciated.
This sounds great but painful. I'll wait until everything gets more refined and friendly.

TT_TT so beautiful (in terms of sounding epic)
*sniff*
Here's an even faster Batch File than before! In this version, all you have to do is name your rom "aa.smc", open up the batch (in the AddMusicM directory), and type "aa.smc"! It'll open up "aa.smc" immediately after you've inserted your music, and repeat the process once "aa.smc" is closed! :D

Sorry to bump the thread, but the program won't work. I downloaded it and even redownload and installed ActivePerl, but AddmusicM just won't work b/c it can't find a file called IxHash.pm which belongs in the Tie folder of Lib in ActivePerl. Can someone send me IxHash.pm, please?
Your layout has been removed.

Run ppm in the command prompt and find the package Tie-IxHash. Easy and convenient.
