Added a link insead.
Improved?
I know that it doesn't have an exit yet. I'm adding a sprite that warps you once you have 100 coins.

There will be two-three lives to find in every level, as there should be at least 90 coins and an invisible 1UP block.

So far the team is in a .txt document that I will send to you all.

Anyone can join and it doesn't matter wether you suck at hacking, if you tell us that you suck at hacking but still want to help out, you can. Send me the .IPS of the level(s) you make. It's easier than sending .mwl in case you used Map16.
Ask before you use ExGFX or Custom Sprites in case we already have them/can't use any more.

If you want to help out with the OW be my guest and if you want to help out with the story or name, again, be my guest.
I will become alive again sometime soon.
That level looks pretty repetitive. The flat bit with two Flying Hammer Bros. looks worryingly bland.

What could I put there? I ran out of ideas to join the grassland and the "caves" up.

Just replace one of the Flying Bros with more grassland. And try not to put the same kind of thing over and over again (eg the 4 shell kicking Koopas one after the other)
Thanks, I'll update the screenshot when I turn my computer on.
Thanks for the feedback by the way, Demonsul.

That level seems to be a bit flat and repetitive. I also don't really like the palette for the ground that much.
Hello there, here is my new blog. I will usually update it every day.
My Pokemon:

Party Image cause I feel lazy.
Overall, many things could use some polishing. I don't like the transition between reg and green at all, on the hills in the background. :/
I suggest a more orange-to-red gradient. That'd fit the sunset feeling more.
And yeah, as everyone else said the land is flat. Add decorations, variations of terrain, and slopes. Bushes would propably look nice. And try not to use the same enemy on flat land again and again, thats just bad level design. A good example for that would be the koopa section, it looks like you just copypasted it a few times.
Improve that and your level will be a whole lot better.
I have improved it and I'm going to add another link to the new one, but I'll keep all versions of it up so you can see it improve.
I didn't make the palette, I only edited the parts that got screwed up by the palette. Should the background be a little oranger? I have improved the terrain and hopefully it isn't as flat. I'll post the level screenshot in a second.

i'd like to make 'The Castle "Main Hub"'
just tell me the level number and i will get onto it :)
(btw, it's EASIER to use MWL, because using IPS you need to patch it to a clean rom, except when i am given the newest ROM. but thats isn't quite handy)

I might put some sort of signature here once. I guess.
As long as it isn't in the range of 100-115 it doesn't matter.
You can submit a .mwl, but don't use the top of page 3 in the Map16! PM me or post any GFX, Sprites, Blocks ect you have used.

can i decide myself what kind of non-vanilla non-linear level it will be? (like a puzzle or sth)

I might put some sort of signature here once. I guess.
Well I was thinking it would be a big room that you start off in the center of and basically you choose your path. There should be at least four different exits, and you can decide whether you want to do the levels you come out of. Basically you can design just that room or an additional four others. It's your choice.
I will become alive again sometime soon.

i will design the first room where you start at the center :)

I might put some sort of signature here once. I guess.
Okay. If you can use XKAS you should make it "classic". What I mean is have quite a few fake pipes that have the classic pirahna plants in them (you will have to use XKAS and possibly ExGFX). Also, check out the ExGFX Showoff thread to see what the player may look like.

I want to do graphic making and probably some level designs and all that, actually.

First of all, just so people know, the cutoff in 'Sunset' is on the bottom tile, and thus you will barely be able to see it(if at all).
Still, I honesty don't like the level 'sunset' at all. Sorry, but fix these problems, and it might be okay:
1. Ugly palettes
A. Saturated red skies are hated here
B. The hills go from the, again, ugly red, to a brown. Why?
C. Red grass? No. If you plan on keeping it, at least make the dirt red, too. And you should tone down the red anywho.

2. Design
A. Much too short
B. You can touch the slanted pipe from the bottom. That's bad. You should also not be able to touch the bottom-right of it.
C. Awkward, geometric in a bad way, flat, repetive design. The only obstacles(other than enemies) are mostly little ledges that are only optional to go on. Rather Sonic-y, but that's not a good thing in the case of Mario. Add slopes, land you have to jump over, pits, ect. And VARIATION.
D. After that big hunk of land at the beginning you run over, it's a blind jump. Un-uh.

I'm sorry, but just fix these things, please.
Your layout has been removed.

1A,B,C: I don't actually know how to make custom palettes, thats why I went to the Level Palettes Thread. Should I make the grass like a dark green?
2A: I have improved this and now you need a P-Switch to get to a small island which lets you carry on. The rest is mainly just exploring right now. There will be a few more sub-levels in this one as it leads straight to The Dark Forest but they aren't in the same level.
2B: You can't, invisible warp sprite is there and surprisingly, no FG/BG garbage appears. At all in fact.
2D: There are coins that you can see in-game.
I'll see if there are any custom sprites that will help. Mix things up.

Possibly a new story?

[Player] has noticed a tall tower was built over the last few months. [Player] decides to explore it, and hopes to find out who built it and why.

I decided to put [Player] instead of Mario because I'm not sure whether people would prefer it using my player graphics or not.

How about a level like the Ice Climbers level in Melee?

~KoopaEater :D
That's actually a great idea. It would be fun to implement that into this.
