I remember finding it when I was making some kind of Super Mario World remake with Game Maker. I was searching for resources for my game, and I kept stumbling upon SMWCentral.
That's when I found out about Lunar Magic. Once I got in to SMW hacking, I signed up for this site. I never went to the forums or posted there for a couple months, and I finally started to post there after reading them for a while.

I found SMWC as a regular at Acmlm's Board from this thread. I joined a little after the forums finally came up later in the year but I mostly lurked until the split of Jul and Board2.
Yeah, the old Acmlm incarnation is how I got here, too.
A few years ago, I had toyed with the idea of hacking SMW and I found this site through a link in a YouTube video's description. It wasn't until late 2009 that I decided to hack SMW and came here, though.
Let's see, I found this site roughly 3 years ago. I lurked for awhile before joining of course. Now, as to what actually lead me here, I still don't remember. I actually think I found this site after I got LM from FuSoYa's site. After getting less shy I registered here at 2008-05-07.
And I am glad I did join. I believe it helped me in more ways than a person would ever know to be honest.
Surprisingly it was ProtonJon's let's play of TKO that brought me here. In his first video he made constant references of getting the hack on SMW Central, how to patch it etc. Eventually I caved and downloaded the hack from the site. After downloading it I looked around the site for about a month, by the end of the month I decided to join. After that it's basically history.
I also found this place through the thread at Acmlm's Board. However, I registered much later as my mother's passing left our family without an internet connection for almost a year.
I can't remember exactly when I registered, but it was prior to the August 2007 wipe.
Retrospect Edit: My original registration date, according to the SMWiki archives, was April 25, 2007.
I found this site while hunting a Yoshi's Island ROM. However, I didn't register first, as I only wanted the ROM. When I got the ROM, I was curious about this site. Then I realized that this site is about ROM hacking. I ever wanted to edit the levels of Yoshi's Island, so I registered to ask questions about it, get information and give tips to others.
