Is this beatable without savestates?

This video is a TAS. The guy that recorded it used more than 5000 savestats. Can you beat it with 0?

Technically, it is possible.

I've actually beaten key jump parts in kaizo hacks so it isn't exactly impossible but it's very very very unlikely. It depends on how far a human is willing to press his/her reflexes and motion memory to their limits. I think the bigger question is: Who would care enough to play this enough to get that kind of extreme?
Maybe, if someone used the 99 lives cheat. Because I don't think people would be that patient every time they get a game over. People might be extremely skilled in keyjumping and other things. So it could be possible with at least LESS than 5000 SS.
The chances of beating most kaizo hacks without savestates, are very very slim. Also I think those chances are way thinner when you have to carry multiple items at once, and throw turtle shells off of walls to bounce up higher. I would never have the patients to do it so I don't think most other people would either.
I highly, highly doubt it. The original Kaizo and Kaizo 2 are hard enough without savestates. Now, take that, and increase the difficulty by a power of at least 1,000, and you have the Pit of Death. Yeah, it's probably not going to happen.

I'm probably retired tbh
Well, I change my mind. Because doing 5 p-switch jumps in a row is pratically impossible without slowdown. And by your first post, I'm assuming you mean without slowdown OR savestates. Also, swimming through 1 tile gaps is pratically impossible without slowdown.
If it's possible with tools, then it's possible without.
...
Of course, I'm willing to guarantee that no one will beat it without savestates ever.

Of course it's possible. Is it humanly possible though? Probably not. Our reaction time is tool slow.
I think that the only person I know of that would have the patience to try it would be Penang Benny as he actually likes playing hard hacks and he thinks that kaizo mario world is actually easy.

HURF DURF KAIZO HARD? NEVAH!
I know some things that are, unquestionably, impossible for a human to do, such as alternating left and right every frame to swim really fast or use a cloud fast, which I think can be used to go through stuff.

Quantum physics. Just quantum physics.
I'll just go ahead and say it's impossible. Even if a human has as good reflexes as that, he will screw up at some point. Because nobody is perfect.
Without savestates? lol, good luck to anyone who tries that.
No. Simply because people do not have the patience to do that kind of thing, and the people that do have that kind of patience wouldn't waste their time trying to beat a mario hack that is balls-insane.

Kaizo Mario World isn't that hard. I'm serious.

Also, no. This isn't beatable without savestates.

On an unrelated note, I'm amazed at the fact that there were no floating or cutoff munchers in that hack. Thumbs up for that.
My blog. I could post stuff now and then

My Assembly for the SNES tutorial (it's actually finished now!)
PenangBenny makes harder levels. And they're actually more fun as well.
I will become alive again sometime soon.

I don't want to insult Penangbenny, I really like his works and such, but he copied many parts of Moltov's levels into his levels. And also, I think Moltov was the very first, who made an uber-crazy impossible hack like Pit of Death (it was Pit of Despair).

Back to topic, I don't think, it would be possible. As Yanama said, there isn't a man, who could have that much patience.
Theoretically, yes it could be possible. A friend of mine beat a kaizo level without any savestates, however it was his own level and he knew the ins and outs of it. To be realistic, I will say no. No one that I know of would have the patience to play this type of level over and over again until they did it perfectly and beat it. The chance of someone being able to accomplish this without savestates is extremely slim.
