Bishop, 44, is accused of gunning down three of her colleagues, including her brother, on Friday during a University of Alabama-Huntsville faculty meeting in an apparent tenure dispute. Three others were wounded — a rare instance of a woman being accused in a mass shooting.

Bishop, a Harvard-educated neurobiologist who became an assistant professor at the school in 2003, was taken Friday night in handcuffs to the county jail, and said as she got into a police car: "It didn't happen. There's no way. ... They are still alive."

What do you think about all this? I seriously cannot see how somebody can shoot their own sibling, it just seems like an unspeakable act to me. According to her students, he had repressed emotions and grievance, but does that justify murder? Discuss.
I'm glad she has been jailed. I see no reason why they shouldn't put her in prison for life for that act, killing innocent people for no reason. For this sort of act, the death penulty should be allowed.Free counters!

I agree, she should be locked up. She took an innocent life and now she shall pay with hers, simple. Though, I think she is trying to pull the "I have a mental problem, therefore it is inhumane and unfair to lock me up" I think this utter bullshit and that regardless of race, gender, or mental capacity.

Why were these assholes denying an intelligent Harvard graduate something as simple as tenure? :(

Yeah, take away basic human rights like tenure and people get pissed. I think it's justified.
