Some new screens of SMW2+3.

I've redesigned the status bar. Some new things you see there:
-Shards: An important thing you must collect in this hack.
-Inv: Inventory. Since there will be side missions in the hack, this will track key items you collect in order to complete them.
-Coins: Coins will have a currency function in this game rather than giving 1-ups. You can use coins to buy various items.

I've also done away with time limits, as you can see. Since you will be able to do side missions in some levels, I want there to be less pressure so the player can explore the level and complete the task.

Credits goes to name128512, Link901, HyperBuu, and The V for the various graphics.

Here's an example of a side mission. This penguin needs firewood for his village, so you must search the level and collect four pieces for him.

Once the four pieces of firewood are collected, he gives you thanks...

You should fix the pipe's bottom in the first screenshot and either remove or move the cement blocks down in the second one.

Nope, I ripped it from a sprite sheet from the Spriters Resource. Credit goes to Oldskoolmario for the spritesheet.
@Hyperbuu: It looks pretty good, but if you made the Giant clock (At #7, it looks like a clock, but I may be wrong...) Come down at the base in a triangle, it would look less flat.
A paper mario world would be cool but i am not good at asm and RPG battles would be hard to manage.

I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
Cool level design, TLMB, but it's hard to tell what's going on. The blue floating water bubbles looked nothing like water and looked like they were in the background, those star launcher things look just like star blocks but act like bullet bill launchers, there are purple blocks that shoot you into the air when you jump beside them, and whatever it is you did with that key to make it shoot you into the air is WAAAAAAY too vague. You'd need to know a lot of things that only you would know.
And it should really be a rule that you need to comment on something somebody else posted to post something. If you're wondering why people kept on reposting everything when it got ignored, it's because everybody else just posted all their shit while ignoring everybody else's.

I have to agree with TMT on this one. The water "clouds" look nothing like clouds in the begining. they look more like bubbles. And nether the Music, nor the spikes fit the theme :/

And maybe you could add a keywhole in that block, and make it act as walk-through.

And those rocks and mushrooms look out of place too. And the regular clouds would look much better if they had priority.
