Anyways, I assume that the 'ninja protection' tick box makes it so that your post is based on the time you clicked 'New Reply' when unticked, rather than when you hit 'Submit Reply'. Unless of course I'm completely wrong.
Oh hey, I got to witness the power of the ninja protection. Cool red text bro. Anyways, I'll keep my original wrong idea up there and say that it shows you a preview of your post so that you can look at who ninja'd you in the thread review.
Any error message triggers a post preview. Just as error messages are also triggered by pressing preview.
Anyway. It simply remembers the ID of the last post and checks it against a fresh one fetched from the database before posting. Checking the "Disable ninja protection" box causes your post to be posted without any ninja warnings even if you were ninja'd.
Now, I'd like an admin's opinion of what this actually does. I mean, I know what it does, by Pissweak's explanation, but can I get a screen shot of what it does?
EDIT- Yeah, just got the ninja protection error message. Plus it was by someone who would explain it. XD However, it displays both your post and the ninja person's post as new, which is a tiny bug.
Warning! You have been exposed to real, ultimate POWER!!!
In other words, you have been ninja'd. That is, someone has replied to the thread while you were writing your post.
Please take a look at the latest post(s) in the "Thread Review" at the bottom of this page before posting.
Pretty awesome XD

Posting broke for a moment, but I never dot that message. I must of tried to post while it was updating or something. Figures, because next thing I know I see a ninja protection checkbox.

Yeah, so what if I haven't shoveled out my signature yet, I'll get to it later.

So basically, it's like those other forums (Metroid2002 used to be like this) that would tell you if a new post has been posted in the time you've been writing. Sounds like a good idea especially on a site as active as this.
