Kieran's Birthday Wiki Surf (With Prizes!)

As some of you may know, I turned 20 last Thursday. For that reason, I decided we should play a little game. The rules are simple:

On Wikipedia, Find the shortest way from the starting article to the end article by clicking links in articles.

You are not allowed to use category pages, special pages, articles in languages other than English, articles about languages, states, countries or continents, articles about dates or years, lists, portals, disambiguation pages, the left side menu, or links that are otherwise not directly tied to a single article.

European Union falls under "articles about languages, states, countries or continents".

Footer templates containing abundances of links (such as, but not limited to those titled "x is part of a series on y", etc.) fall under "links that are otherwise not directly tied to a single article".

Wiki surf example, going from Pencil to Natural gas:
Pencil ->
Graphite ->
Coal ->
Natural gas

Please include both the link text, URL and the actual title of the article where they are not the same!

Contestants are awarded 15, 10, or 5 points for finding the shortest, second shortest and third shortest paths, respectively.

Each round will last as long as I feel like it and there will be as many rounds as I feel like hosting.

THERE WILL BE PRIZES!

3rd Prize: Badge
2nd Prize: Badge, Custom Title
1st Prize: Badge, Custom Title, Name Color

Given the prizes, the articles will be far apart, and finding a path will be time consuming.

If I feel that an entry does not conform with the rules, I will give an explanation, and the entry will be IGNORED. However, the user will be able to compete in the next round.

Once you have posted your entry, you must not edit it. Correction posts will be ignored. Only your first entry counts. If you edit your first entry, you are out until the next round begins.

Editing articles will disqualify you entirely from the competiton!

Any given path may only be used once. Subsequent entries using the same path will be ignored.

FIRST CHALLENGE:
Find the shortest way from Birthday to Hamster

Good Luck!
YAY!
From birthday to hamster in 6 steps:
Birthday
Culture
Evolution
Lion
Mammal
Rodent
Hamster

It isn't too short, but I'm glad I found it anyway.
When you say "languages other than english," do you mean Wikipedia articles about a language, or are you meaning other Wikipedia languages?
Wow - i actually did it.

Birthday -> Lottery -> Maneki Neko (link below image on the right side of lottery) -> Cat -> Rat -> Rodent (Rodentia) -> Hamster

It's long, but it got there...

(Are you allowed more than one entry?)

OK thanks. I'm guessing it's a 'no' if you accidently posted the wrong thing. But I'm OK.
Crap, we can't use continents?
I thought I had a good one with Birthday -> Tobacco -> Europeans -> Rodents -> Hamsters...
One question, if someone gets two of the shortest paths, would they get twenty five points? Or would they just fifteen and the next two people in line will get ten and five?
You are only allowed to post one entry. The first one will be the one that counts. If you edit your entry, you are out until the next round starts.
Birthday
Mammals
Rodents
Hamsters

I SHOULD ALSO MENTION THAT EDITING OF ARTICLES IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN AND WILL DISQUALIFY YOU FROM THE COMPETITION ENTIRELY!!

I thought this was a no-brainer, but apparently, someone must be really stupid.

When is the deadline/round over? You said as long as you feel like it, but is there an estimate?
