Stickied, and I would like it if all future base ROM updates are edited into the first post. Thanks.
Hmm.... My level crashes when there is custom music but when it doesn't, it does not crash... ...Or any other level that has custom music. You REALLY want to fix that.YOUR layout has been removed.
I do non-kaizo beta tests!

A Mario and Luigi Story: The Universe's Star Demo 2:
The best thing to do would be just to design your level without music, and then we'll insert it + set the music to the levels when they have all been created. It would be a lot easier that way I would assume.
...or we can just do it as the levels are being made. That works too.

So I assume if we are just using the vanilla music, we can just create our levels like normal? Because I plan on just using the Switch Palace music.
Yeah, for sure. I'm likely going to end up composing a track for the Blue Switch Palace (since I happen to be doing it), so you can either stick with the vanilla track or I can make this one global for all of the switch palaces.
It's up to you, as well as the other two who have a switch palace claimed.

I'll wait to see what you whip up for the Switch Palace, and base my decision off of that.
Now, does this include the new MAP16 pages? That's my only real purpose for updating, to make sure my MAP16 intensive level works functions properly.
I've inserted LevelASM at PC xE0200. By the looks of it, we had two full banks free in that area, so that should easily, easily be more than enough room to work with. That means when you guys finish your level, you'll also need to send your levelASM code to Riolu so he can forward it to me and I can insert it (assuming you use levelASM).
Music is also in. It should be advised that if you wish to use a custom track in your level, you need to make a note of it in the stickied music thread here. There are plenty of slots, so please feel free to use one or two or four.
The new base ROM will be up soon.
Okay, the ROM is updated. However, I will note that when I was inserting the levels sent to me, I found that some of them had exits to level 0. I don't know if they're still in there, as sometimes, LM will warn about that yet set the exits correctly after saving it anyways, but if they are, I demand that those of you who made the levels that have those exits fix them yourselves. I've been asked before to edit a level when someone noticed this error, but they didn't fix it themselves. I don't see how fixing your levels should be my job if you guys won't test your own levels. I'm just giving you all a warning, please test your levels well and check all pipes you put in, no matter how unlikely it will be that they are exit-enabled, before you submit your levels so I don't potentially have to do your work for you.<Adam> I feel like smwc is a prostitute now, because we put up a porn ad for money
only that which I've been sent...which is two files. So not really. I don't regularly check the Map16 thread. :/ I guess I probably should.<Adam> I feel like smwc is a prostitute now, because we put up a porn ad for money
I updated the baserom now it has the new map16.
Updated yet again with the music which was in the other thread, minus a few tracks which people put down but didn't bother linking to (and they aren't in the music section).
Base ROM has been updated again. It's a bigger one this time.
dsx.asm has finally been patched. Dynamic sprites are a go.
Speaking of that, I've inserted all of the sprites on the list finally, with the exception of the red/blue Ninji (if someone could locate them for me, that would be swell) and the YI Ptooie (will put it in later).
