Hi everyone, I've improved my YI hack. The previous thread was closed-soon to be deleted, so I decided to start over. I've lowered the level of difficulty, fixed known bugs and taken critisism on board.
World 1 is finished!


This is W1-3: Watch your Step! An autoscroll level, and now less difficult.


This is the first fort- also improved!


The first boss- Fishin' Boo!


My castle- including new Tap Taps, YI Koopas and Grunts!


Map of World 1 (note: the name Big Bertha, although a different species- means nothing in my hack. It may be the name of the Bullet Cannon from SMRPG, but in my hack it is a totally different species.

Edit: Levels names for W5 (Done now because I like sky levels)
5-1: Go, Mario, Go!
5-2: Caves in the Sky
5-3: Goonie lifts
5-4: Rapheal's Fort
5-5: Call of the Yoshis
5-6: Kamek's Castle

That's all for now- I've redirected from my old thread if you were wondering. Also any comments/constructive critisism appreciated!
I'll need beta testers soon, so anyone wanna help?

WOW! That was quick- only posted it about a minute before it! Yes, it would be a pleasure to let you beta test! Although it may be some time before I release it. Off Topic: has anyone noticed that the new layout makes the pictures blurred?
I never noticed the blurred pictures, and still don't...

Although it's not my style to lower the difficulty I'd like to playtest for you as well, if I can make time. The hack seems like a lot of fun, I'm really interested! (only 6 screenshots and I'm enthusiastic already, man I'm cheap XD)

Although I'll be releasing my own hack soon and the Kaizo Contest is coming up, if I manage to find time count me in!

Difficulty change: a common request.If I had to level the difficulty now it would be:
Levels: Medium
Bosses: Easy/Hard
Secrets: Medium/hard (to find)
I mean by blurred, the images are not as sharp. Shame-they were before...

Thanks again!! If you want hard- I made a level a long time ago for another hack. It was called Buzz-Saw Barrage. It was a vertical autoscroll level, with buzzsaws (obviously!); fuzzies; Chomp Sharks and a huge challenge! If anyone wants it PM me-if I can find it!
Awesome! However, in the first screenshots I can see a wrong tile on the ledge, or another pallete. And I would love be a beta tester, but I actually have 3 hack to test....

Thats fine! I'm doing world 2 now, and I need help! My Ptooie piranha is not spitting the bombs!!! I know about dynamics/sprites but can't think how it is screwed?

Edit: Hold on... It's not my fault-it's an error. :P
When I seen first two screenshots, I thinked it's YI hack. I wanted to say it's SMW Hack Discussion, not SMW2 (YI) Hack Discussion. But I'm noticed the status bar (how can I not notice it).

It's looks like it is SMW2, not SMW.

Can I beta test, Koopinator?

Also it looks pretty good so far, just watch the use of the tap taps, they are known to cause weird errors in other sprites. Just warning you, although IK you could simply take them out if they eventually did.

Seriously... It's just that I've never had a problem?! Hmmm... I'd better watch it then! The last thing I want is to screw this up!
Beta testers: Up to 10 altogether-better safe than sorry!
I'll decide who in a few weeks-sorry to keep you in suspence.
Oh, and does anyone wanna help me with this hack? I need a YI style Kamek boss, that swoops down and has 5 hits. Me and CDPower are working on it so far- I need: Someone to work on YI style bosses and sprites; more testers; music testers.
You won't mess it up if the tap taps start messing up some sprites, all you would have to do is remove the tap taps.

Actually, I know. The error will occur, if there are MORE than TWO tap-taps on the screen at once. Lukily it's not happened yet!
