This looks like a really good hack so far! YI styled hacks always look good IMO.

Though as already stated, it would be good to have a YI styled player.

It's called SUPER MARIO: Escape from YI. I like the mario gfx as they are anyway.

All you have to do is find a Mario sprite that matches the YI style. As I mentioned, the Mario sprites from Dongs! should do nicely.

The main problem with the sprites you have now is that they're in the Super Mario World style and not the Yoshi's Island style, and they kind of clash.

New Raven sprite, give credit to me- I made it to look like YI. Looks like YI Base hack's got some competition.

With closer inspection of the title, I can see what you're getting at by having the SMW player gfx... And kewl raven sprite. But I can't take the userbar without the image url.	Who knows when I'll have something to put here.

Anyways, I like this hack so far! Very good for a beginner! I'll beta test, I guess.

Also, I don't think asking for bosses will get you anything from anyone.

Well, if the Tap-Tap thing becomes a concern, I actually made a Tap-Tap sprite that doesn't seem to have that bug. (It also flies into the air when you hit it with a shell; to my knowledge, smkdan's didn't do that.) Unfortunately, I never finished it...it worked okay, but it didn't look okay; I never could figure out the right XY offsets for the foot tiles. (If anyone wants to help me figure them out, be my guest.)

But yes, this hack does look quite interesting. I've always liked YI sprites and graphics, and I'm curious to see how you'll use them. Is that YI raven a graphically-edited Mega Mole? Is it a completely custom-coded sprite?

Yes it is a mega mole- they run around in mass groups and carry you over spikes- Anyone want it-PM me!

Also I will help with the kamek boss as you know in PM's me and you sent back and forth but idk about what else. I can code a kamek boss with the ultimate n00b boss sprite but idk about anything else. sorry. I still am a noob sorta at smw hacking.

Ok, a kamek noob boss will be fine. You can decide what Kamek does during the fight- magic etc. Keeping YI in mind of course.

Thought W1 looked hard, well take a look at this!

It's World 5-1: there is a secret exit here, that will take you to
W5-S: Head in the clouds! In the screenshot above, there is a milde and another Raven. In world 5-Ravens are everywhere, so watch out-they are VERY fast!

Update! I thought I'd do a YI style bomb omb gfx replacment. Here it is- in level 1-2: Goonie hills! This area dosn't have any goonies in it (dispite the name), but in the second room there are Bowling and normal goonies.

I wanted comments on the sprites! It isn't contrasted on my computer- can't do anything about it yet though. Comment on the sprites now- and yes, the Milde is for world 4- can you make it with my gfx?

Self drawn- cool huh! I'll fix the contrast soon. Focusing on bosses now, next after Big Bertha is... Donkey Kong Jr. (anyone wanna suggest a better name for it?)

Jerry86 will help too- I think. It'll be a noobcustom boss creation, but will suit world 2- Echo Jungle-perfectly! DK Jr's Fort will be in a remote, piranha infested jungle- most of it will be outside, but the boss battle room will be in a jungle cave deep underground. He'll have 5 hitpoints, and the rest is secret...
EDIT: Yes, Jerry86 will do it. He's now a big part of this hack.
NEW! jerry86 made these- boss will be done on monday.

He now stands there at first, then after hit 1- gets angry! He'll run around kicking barrels, he has 5 HP.Credit goes to Jerry86.
