I've heard that the SMB3 music patch has compatibility issues, and many hackers prefer to insert the SMAS music tracks one-by-one.

Also, you might have inserted a song that needs the N-SPC Patch. Such songs are usually clearly marked, and if you haven't applied the patch to your ROM, the song will crash the game.
No, that music patch isn't compatible with Addmusic. At all. If you want to be able to add whatever music you want, you are going to have to port your levels to a new ROM and skip applying it.

Wow.. that hapend to me to... i guess you have to do a new hack as i had to do.. just save levels to a file and load 'em. it's not fun to see a hack ruined tho...

The overworld (and all the level names, message box texts, and everything else you edit in the Overworld Editor) is the easiest to port. First, open your ROM in Lunar Magic. Open the Overworld Editor. Now, WITHOUT exiting out of the Overworld Editor, open your ROM in the same Lunar Magic window. Move something on the overworld a little bit, and save. Done.

Thanks Kaizoman666. But now i have to deal with all these levels. is there anyway to port them all at once?

i believe theres an option that lets you export multiple mwl files that you can use to reinsert your levels

Indeed there is. Open your old ROM in Lunar Magic, and go to "File --> Levels --> Export Multiple Levels to Files". Then open your new ROM in Lunar Magic, and go to "File --> Levels --> Import Multiple Levels from Files".

Here's all the steps:

Here's how you port to a new ROM:
Key: *=Old ROM ^=New ROM

1*) Go to File -> Export Multiple Levels to Files.
2^) Go to File -> Import Multiple Levels from Files.
3*) Open the OW Editor.
4*) Leave the OW editor open, and manually open the new ROM via LM.
5^) Go to the already open OW Editor. Move something, and save.
6*) Open the Map16 Editor, and press both F5 and F7.
7^) Open the Map16 Editor, and press both F6 and F8.
8^) Press F9 in the Map16 Editor.
9*) Go to File -> Export Shared Palettes to Files.
10^) Go to File -> Import Shared Palettes from Files.
11*) Go to File -> Export Level Palette to File.
12^) Go to File -> Import Level Palette from File.

Notes:
Page 2 of Map16 is FG/BG GFX Header specific. You will have to press F5 there, press F6 in the new ROM, and do it for every tileset. (Don't forget F9 to save!) You CANNOT press F5 in every tileset then press F6 in every tileset.

To port the Title Screen and/or Credits, do the same as the OW.

You have to redo steps 11 and 12 for every level with a custom palette.

If you deleted the ExGFX and/or GFX folders, press the Red and Blue mushrooms in the old ROM, and then press the Green and Gold ones in the new ROM.

You will have to re-record the Title Screen Movie.

You will have to re-insert custom music, sprites, etc.

You will have to redo OW palettes.
