It certainly pleases me to see that you are significantly more polite and respectable than some of your colleagues who have registered here (ninjablooper comes to mind). It is also nice to see
Sorry about that. At the time I was against this site for more reasons than you my think, but I really don't have much against SMWC anymore.
was the magikoopa gfx replacment suppost be Carpaccio from Wario Master of Disguise by any chance? It looks a lot like him- maybe you should do him as a boss next. If so, you should do a race like in Wario: MOD.
Yeah, good catch. You're the first person to recognise the character as someone from Wario Master of Disguise (at least without me having to refer to Mario Wiki before hand). Him as a boss is a fairly good idea, although I'd personally prefer to fix the Magikoopa palettes first (it's a hex edit, right?)
Yes, I think so. BTW if someone was to put Carpaccio's boss theme in smw- that would be awesome- so you may wanna concider that.
i like this hack... but the hardest level *sigh* doesnt live up to the rest of the hack unfortunatly
its very jumbled and the start has epic proportions of repetetivness :/
if want to keep the level and it not be so jumbled then i'd suggest you change the disco shell at the start to either be required to press a switch or powerup block... or make it a pain by using sonikku's invincible disco shell
in my experience in kaizo hacking i try to not go for:
1) collect p-switch, press, win (add some huge trap in getting it)
2) thwomp spam=please god noooo D':
3) that crappy stupid *gets tranquilized*... ok so i wont go too crazy over THAT STUPID CLAPPIN' CHUC- *tranquilized*. yeah dont copy kaizo 1's clappin' chuck trap... its so freakishly over used :/.
and try originality, there is so much you can do with physics of smw just as vannilla so you dont have to have custom stuff for an epic boss... also dont make the throw blocks for ur boss easy to grab... hide each one
@GoldenSonic[addnumbers here]: i was gunna say... kaizo never plays kaizo hacks (even though he makes really good ones xD)
but vip4 is on the thin line of being unfair and also he played all those quite difficult hacks like :p:p:p and kouhai
@cheat-master[more numbers]: could i join this collab or is it only for DSU members?
i have been wanting to join/make a kaizo collab for while xD

Okay, thanks for the suggestions. You'll be happy to know there are no Kaizo traps beyond world 1, and that the other hard level is hard without being a puzzle/P Switch spam level.

Generally don't use that many Thwomps. Unlikely to find this outside of that level (although the anti gravity Thwomps elsewhere are likely to be annoying).

Pretty sure I never use this.

The throw blocks are really just for testing, since I can make each boss throw an enemy which you can use to attack them. It just makes it much, much easier for testing if you can quickly grab projectiles and throw them back.

Considering much of this is more like kouhai or late VIP 4 difficulty, yeah.

just would like one level if your still accepting
but ya never know
Okay, there's one level no one signed up to make left in world 4, and it's a water level near a sunken ship. Go mad.

^ That would be awesome in this hack, yes. But it's never going to sadly get made, because no one on VG Music has ever made a MIDI of a song from any Wario game after Wario Land 4, and even half the Wario Land 4 music never got ported (I was wanted Crescent Moon Village's theme, but it's sadly likely never to get a MIDI file made of it). Sorry about that, it makes it impossible to request it here either.
But if anyone wants to know what the palette for the guy should look like:

As for Mario's Nightmare Quest? Well, it's currently on Fusion Gameworks, ROM Hacking.net or the GCN at the moment.

Hmm... I may be able to help there, I can make midis. I'll see what I can do.
EDIT: Yes, I can do it for you. I'll PM you the complete Carpaccio boss midi file at about 6 today.
The World 2 castle (Creepy Castle) is, I believe, the one level I actually submitted to this hack.
It was made quite some time back, back when this hack was in its earliest stages. As such, I didn't use any custom sprites, music, etc...in terms of resources, it's rather basic.
Personally, I found it rather challenging, but maybe I'm just no good at my own level But, as cheat said, those vids show the level from some time back, and I think, at the very least, some sprites and Reznor have been edited.
Oh, and thank you, cheat, for paying tribute to my tiny level-based contribution.

Zexis, you're good enough to beat the level. That's more than most people can manage, platform hell fans or not.
But yeah, expect some better stuff coming soon. I've also been taking advice and making the boss arenas more complex and without throw blocks (relying on the boss throwing the object needed to kill it).

i never said its not hard i just pinted out some parts for improvment... in all honesty it looks like a pretty difficult level
also how hard is too hard? D:
i know what im like i'll set up some shell jumping with a mid-air pswitch jump while killing a boo boss with both of the item you used to get to him haha
(btw i didnt actually do that its juat an example of my sense of difficulty) so is world 4 gunna be on the "end of kaizo 2" sorta difficulty or "omfg im not playing this its too hard" or "mid kaizo 1"?
if you'd hear suggestions from me my friend all they'll be is castlevania related
but the port of mute city on here is a good song for a intense scrolling kaizo maybe?
but yeah i am done with the level just need to sort the time limit out or you WILL have to speed run this xD
i will send it over possibly today after testing time limits and whatnot... i am just concerned that it may be too hard for the 4th world of the hack
contains: Big boo Boss to end it
3 rooms
4 parts (i.e secondary exits)
and lots of hell (with also great music) ill send it with a ips as well so you can play the level without having to insert it as well as me explaining where the music goes
