Retro Mario World - Super Mario Bros.

This is Retro Mario World. It's a remake of SMB with Custom Graphics.

fixed and..

sigh...
This has not been done at least 20 times before. No, it hasn't.

I like the looks of it! I like SMB remakes because it's interesting to see each version.
Thank You, iRhyiku! That looks better! :)

They are all the same!

No problem #w{=P}
Um, there's totally not three billion other SMB remakes. Seriously, you really shouldn't have done that, we're starting to get sick of seeing all of the SAME GAME!
Good fucking bye.
Well this certainly looks good.
I think SMB remakes are fine, I seen many people on SMWC do them.
I know it can not be exact to the orignal but still if someone spends there time making a hack based on one of my favourite games it s a winner for sure.
I will probably play this sometime.
Nice work. B)
I'm not wanting to insult you or anything, but this isn't really something that's new. I mean, if you had fun making it, great! But it has been done so many times before, and pretty much anyone could do this. It still looks pretty good, it's just that it's been done before... and quite a lot, too, for that matter.
GoldenSonic15: There was only like 3 SMB remakes already. This is the 4th one.

1UPdudes: Thanks. That's a good compliment.

NAAMxLOOS: I will make original levels in hacks most of the times. I'm only making 2 remakes. My other remake will be The Lost Levels. (Retro Mario World 2) I'll probably share it next C3.

If somebody really wanted to play SMB, they could just download the original or SMAS anyways. And one was like enough, it's already overdoing it with 2. #w{:s}

or go buy the original for the NES...

or go to a pawn shop and put a gun to the owner's head and get it for free...
Bridget's got the kids!
Bring me Bridget, or I'll blow us all to hell!
As someone who moderated an earlier version of this, I feel I ought to defend it. If you're not into playing remakes, that's fine, but there was a lot of effort put into this one, particularly in terms of custom graphics.

If you can, imagine this as what playing SMB on a SNES would have been like had SMAS never come out. If you look at it from that perspective, there's a lot about this project that shines.

Plus, this is also open-source for people to use as a base hack for SMB-style hacks, which isn't really the case with the other remakes.

So, yeah - give this one a shot if you like a well-done remake.

[?] Miscellaneous Helpful Hints
If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.
I bought your hack 2 years ago off Ebay.

Jokes aside, I think this is the best remake to date, without the original SMB being ripped of its base.
