Well I know I said I wasn't gonna post anything for C3, but I thought about I thought, "why not just show off my hack, other people are doing it." So here it is:

The story of the hack: Wario and Waluigi are destroying the Mushroom Kingdom, their minions are protecting the 7 orbs which will gain entrance to Wario and Waluigi's castle. Can Luigi stop their reign of terror?

The story is kinda simple yes, but it's not another Bowser stole the princess story.

Anyways, on to the screenshots! (Too much screens so I'm not gonna add comments to all of them)

Bonus game! As you see on the right, there's a outline of a Luigi coin. You can't collect it until you complete the objective.

I really love how this palette turned out!

Despite me being a follower of the hack already, I thought it would be worthwhile to comment. I love the usage of the SMB3 graphics, I love how they are used effectively and in a manner that coincides with other forms of SMW or YI graphics. It was also nice to see the coin bonus somewhat at work. Instead of using a message block, it might be cool to see an intro or something as one would see in DKC2 or something where they have a Defeat All Enemies or a Find the Coin. You could just show the image for a couple seconds and then have an automatic warp to screen exit to the bonus area. Just a thought.

Your use of SMB3 graphics is awesome. Keep it up and it'll be as famous as Bowser's Valley.

The screen shots look really nostalgic. I'll give this a try.

This may be the best-looking hack I've seen in a while (although I admittedly don't pay attention to many hacks). I like the SMB3 graphics (I don't care how many people say they're overused, I LIKE SMB3 graphics) and all, and some of the palettes are quite pretty, such as the autumn-ish SMB1 FG and the Sky Pop section. I do hope this hack will have a better difficulty curve than Bowser's Valley, though...that one seemed to have an awful lot of random spikes. But I can tell you, reghrhre, I will want to play this hack when it is finished.
I loved the screenshots, good pallets, good levels, good ExGFX, good GFX of SMB3, I hope the Demo!

@imamelia: Yea the difficulty curve will be better than Bowser's Valley. I might have a demo either this month or next month.
As I already mentioned, not only once, you're a master of mixing graphics from different (Mario related, though) games, reg. The mood and essence of every screens is totally lovable. I also like that custom Banzai Bill replacement, btw. Amazing job.
I definitely love what I am seeing here, reg! Your graphics certainly give a nice SMB feel. Keep this up! I can't wait to see more!

I've also been keeping track of this one, and overall I see that it's very appealing, but feeling somewhat off at the same time.

I think it's with the palettes. While some of them look great (I agree with you with the autumn setup), but others don't have their colors blending in too much for my liking (namely the first spotted hills level you posted). Also the status bar does what it looks like it's supposed to do, though the game's title being placed on it seems like it's too much.

Other than that, LFFMK looks like it's sailing around rather smoothly. I'll continue to keep tabs on this one, too.

@MrDeePay: Some palettes are a bit off yes, but usually I want the BG and FG to have different colors. I'll fix it anyways. Also what exactly do you mean about the status bar?
SMB3 gfx is awesome. This hack is looking promising, I can't wait until this is released.

The thing I was trying to get to with the status bar is putting the hacks title in it (which was also a peeve of mine with SMB3X and MKM2). It's kinda like you want to put something up there, but you're not sure as to what, so you're just filling up space until otherwise.

It's more of a personal thing, but yeah. I was in the same boat until I just moved some stuff around based on what I had and was planning on implementing.

Oh, well I guess that's true, (At least for me) I mean with nothing there it looks empty. Well it's just personal opinion anyways.
You did a great job with it. Nice graphics,palettes and BG and FG combinations. Good luck with your hack.
