Hi All,

I'm playing a hack called Random's Retarded Quest LOL. It's sorta like a kaizo hack. In the hack it requires me to use the turtle shell jump. I cannot seem to master the technique. Can anyone help? I'm using a keyboard.

It takes a lot of skill, and to my knowledge there isn't really any 'technique'.

Best idea: screw the kaizo hack and play something more plausible.

The way I tend to go about shell jumping (without moving at least):

Stand, shell in hand, with 2 16x16 block spaces between you and the wall.

Hold the jump button until right before the height of your jump.

At that point, release B and Y for just a second, then press them again.

If done correctly, this should create a shell jump for you, meaning you just need to press right to jump over the wall (Or whatever).

It's actually not very hard at all, it just takes a little practice.

If you want to do a moving one, it's basically the same principal, just time it a little differently since you are moving, but you still want to release right before you get negative (actually positive, but you're moving down anyway) Y speed, because once you start going down, you fall faster than the shell does, so you can't jump on it because you will be past it. Yep.

I am so awesome I can do shell jumping without savestates, but maybe use slowdown if you can't do it.

After you get the hang of shell jumping, you can do it pretty easily without save states. Just jump near the wall, and a little before the apex of your jump release your shell. When it ricochets back hold the jump button.

I usually do what HuFlungDu said, if you can try to position yourself in such a way that there are 2 spaces between the wall and you. That is the easiest method.

Some methods are less reliable than others in determining the gender of your turtle. If all the signs point in one direction than you can be assured you have found out the gender. However, if the signs are mixed, you may wish to take your turtle to a vet to be certain.

There are some variations of sea turtles (specifically, the Kemp Ridley, but there may be others) that have no external signs of which gender they are. Speak with a veterinarian specializing in marine animals to discover which gender your sea turtle is.
