also wow it's been ages since I last browsed here and posted in this thread. am I still relevant or just a thing of the past
I'm mostly active on Discord now, so I can kind of feel your pain lmao; I just haven't been finding enough of a reason to post here very often outside of occasionally doing some comments on some ports I like on the music section, and maybe checking the #site-feed channel on the SMWC Discord to see if there's any interesting threads to check, but yeah, when it comes to posting on the site itself, you'll probably not see me very often ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is honestly why I thought of discord cannibalizing a lot of forums bc of how convenient it is to be on there.
-------------------- On Pixel Art Requests: I generally do not accept free work unless I either have the time, if I see your project worth my time to contribute towards, and that is usually me doing the approaching to you on that second part. I do not accept speculative work as I do have various art I made on-hand with me. I am more receptive to paid work and equivalent exchange of resources (trades) in which case, you can DM me wherever I have an active presence on for the details and we can work something out. If not, then don't DM unless absolutely necessary.
I've been posting more than normal because I'm really close to hitting 4k posts. After that my posting will probably slow down a little bit.
I didn't plan to post anything when I've reached 1999 posts, but I didn't wanna refuse to ask a question on niko's thread. I was planning to make an update on my hack for 2000th post, but I wasted that. Stupid me.Why do America and the rest of the world have to use different 7 Up logos?
When I was younger, I thought that having >1000 posts was cool, but if you dig through my posts, especially most of the first 1000 were redundant (echoing, lack of information, backseat moderating). I've been making a lot of posts recently as well, but that was because I wasn't very active on Discord. I mostly use my mobile phone and I dunno why I refused to download Discord app for it. Whenever I use a computer, I often forget about Discord.
I don't care about my post count as much as before, but I wanted to make my 2000th post special because I haven't been working on my hack eagerly and I've been for so long, so I wanted to celebrate something. Why do America and the rest of the world have to use different 7 Up logos?
What's so special about having so many posts, you should not care about them.
4000 is probably the last big milestone I'll ever hit on this website considering I haven't been posting very frequently until I reached 3900. It's a little bit special for me, especially considering how long I've been on this website.
With how I've been posting, I doubt I'll reach 1000, let alone 4000.
I used to post like crazy back in the day because SMWC was like my only social outlet back then. I remember when I was really getting into the community back in the day I wanted to get a higher post count than S.N.N. Also when I returned to the site in 2016 after an almost 1 year hiatus I was making like ten posts a day for weeks on end and it took less than six months for me to go from like 1,050 or so posts to 2k. It was insane.
Nowadays I don't post nearly as much, my increased posting is partly due to a lot of free time and I just moved to a new town so I don't have a ton of friends in my area I can see, as well as the aforementioned milestone.
I used to go absolutely crazy with my posting a few years ago, to the point of creating hack threads in my first five milestones for the sake of having something to post, some of which were never released. That doesn't hold true anymore since I barely post nowadays. Though if people want to celebrate [special] milestones then let them do so.
oh snn if you knew I'm always like that each time I browse a certain part of the site. even smw hacking is a thing I miss

Postcounts used to be crazy around here. People have been making threads that celebrates them, be it for fun or for something celebratory like a big hack update. I can even remember when SNN reached both five-digit post milestones. The first one I can still remember despite me being a forum baby that time. Everyone was basically waiting like mad on where he'd use it. The second one is where he created a forum for like a day.
As for my own sharing with what's going on for me, I'll keep it short: I hate Saturday classes.
