I've got an ASUS laptop since early 2017, and it still somewhat holds up until now. It's got a Core i7-6700HQ (clocked at 2.59 GHz) and a GTX 1060 (but without Optimus, quite a rarity for a laptop, I must say).

I currently have a Lenovo laptop that stands almost every program I install, though it doesn't compare to the one I had (which I never recovered after taking it to the technician... cost a good $200 bucks due to some internal damage and I cannot afford it now)

I thought about buying a better laptop as soon as I get enough money. My mom tells me I should buy a computer instead, but that's a lot of cables for such a versatile machine.
I have had the same Toshiba laptop (Satellite C655-S5512) since 2011 and I have no idea how it's still going after all this time with no sign of stopping soon. It has all the same hardware it came with except a PCI-e wireless adapter I transplanted from my old Acer Aspire One netbook because I found the Atheros chips to run more smoothly with the Linux drivers than the Realtek chip. In regards to web browsing it is showing its age with only 4GB RAM and it gets super hot with video running and the browser outright freezes a lot. It's still quick with everything else I do on it outside of that.

Man, I love my Stone Age relics.

Just look above you...

I still have my old dusty toshiba satellite laptop, just tucked in a corner for where, heaven forbid, something happens to my Asus laptop. I haven't sold it or given it away since I'm pretty sure no one wants a laptop with a busted keyboard.

My laptop is a Samsung, more specifically X23 from the Expert series. It's an i5 so it fulfills absolutely all of my needs. Just don't make the window scheme color be calculated depending on your desktop background while that's a presentation that changes every minute and you shouldn't get any slowness lmao

The hardware is broken though, it all started when I lost a screw and didn't care very much about it, and now the joints are broken and it can't stand up on its own or be closed anymore. oh well
I'll look for Samsung's tech assistance as soon as the quarantine is over. I got it partially fixed by this guy in a hardware store in my street, had to buy some replacement pieces which costed a fair amount, but it broke again, so...
Looking forward to lose all my savings with new pieces. However I would really like to have it fixed.

I use a desktop PC now. Way easier to keep cool and air out than a laptop IMO. IDK if I would have even been able to play Black Mesa's Xen chapters at all on my old laptop if I still had it, considering I still get framerate issues from that and loads and loads of loading even on my current machine (especially during that one part of Interloper's elevator section).
Also hoping my system specs would be enough for Half-Life Alyx, when/ifever I decide to buy a VR headset.

How am I so creative? I think taking walks might have something to do with it.
Every single level I will ever make in SMM2 will be easier than Ultra Necrozma.
Yeah, I definitely see your point. I wanted my current laptop to be able to stand heavier games (I downloaded one before and I would've kept it had it not been for the lag).
It has the last version of DirectX 10. My specs are literally the worst, but my old laptop has it better, I suppose. I'll do some searching around.
I'm a desktop PC here user. I barely touch laptops. I really wanna set up my PC so that I have two monitors, but this desk in my room is so small. Changes wires around a lot is also a pain. aaah.

I've had this PC for nearly 5 years as well. IT's definitely gone past the halfway point in its lifetime if you ask me.

My old laptop was going strong after 4 years which is hella surprising. For how crappy it was, I'll give it one thing, it was hella persistent on staying alive.

For a while I had a hand-me-down laptop from my older brother, but I never really used it, so I sold it on eBay. At the end of last year, he came into my room one day with a mid 2015 Retina-model MacBook Pro, and just gave it to me saying I could have it. He works at a very large Fortune 500 tech company, and when they buy new tech, they throw out their old stuff and he salvages it sometimes, giving me some of what he brings with him. It's a great little device, and though the battery cycle count is at around ~700, I'm surprised by how well-performing it is. I upgraded the internal storage to a 500 GB NVMe SSD, with macOS Catalina, and it's incredible now.

I'll just have to replace the battery eventually, and not only does the replacement take a long time to do, but a high-quality replacement battery for this laptop will cost you around $100 USD as well... but I'll suck it up and buy one when I finally think it's time to do the replacement.
For a long while, the only laptops I've ever ended up having my hands on were of the HP brand. I can't say I fully recall which models I've used specifically, but a quick Google search tells me that one I had was an HP 15.6" (jet black in particular). In recent years, I was gifted a Lenovo IdeaPad 330 a few Christmases ago, and have been using it ever since. It's treated me fairly nicely over the past two years or so. Though a letdown on its behalf is its short battery life, which prompts me to usually make it a stationary PC, constantly plugged in to its AC adapter.

It does have a storage of 930GB though, which is honestly so much more than I'd ever need for a laptop. At least that gives me enough extra space to fit a whole house in it!

What is a Lunar Magic, and can I eat it?
I've lived with the same Acer Aspire Z3731 desktop all my life until my dad made this laptop usable. It runs Windows 10 on an SSD and 4GB of RAM and it performs smoothly. I can also take this to other places now, so yay.

I was going to participate in my first VLDC, but this year happened, and I no longer feel motivated to do so anymore. This year has been gutpunch after gutpunch and it hasn't shown any signs of letting up.

So yeah, looks like I'll be on the sidelines watching VLDC12 once again.

Hit me up if you need anything, dude. This year "happened" to a lot of people, so don't think you're alone there. Cheers.
I keep staying up way too late.

I really should go to bed earlier, but I just love the night and early morning. Always peaceful and quiet for the most part.

I went to bed at 2 AM, but I thankfully got up at 8:30 AM. Better to sleep shorter than get up late, I guess. You don't need more than 6 hours of sleep.
I have a Discord server as well!

I may have canceled my level, but I've never said I could change my mind and get ideas.
I don't need to get up early these days, anyway, so I'm favoring my 8 hours of sleep. It's been a trend for me to sleep at 5 and get up at 1. I tried to fix that by sleeping earlier, but I couldn't get myself to get up earlier and became way too tired during the day, so... I don't know. Being up late isn't that bad, as long as you don't stay up late enough to see the sun rise (which I'm trying to avoid).

Actually, it depends on the person how many hours of sleep they need. I can't function with less than 7 hours.

I have Insomnia, so I barely get any sleep.

People often tell me to use lavender to help treat it, or something like that because apparently it is a soporific herb, but I'm allergic to lavender, go figure.
Have you tried chamomile tea or diffusing chamomile oil for a holistic approach to insomnia? I tried finding an easy aromatherapy spray but the only chamomile one I could find was paired with lavender. Melatonin may also work for you but I tend to have very mixed results with the quality of sleep. It may also help moving anything that emits a strong electromagnetic signal (e.g. cell phone, wifi router) out of your room if you can when you want to sleep.

I typically need about 10-12 hours of sleep to feel proper, which I know sounds excessive. I rarely get that because there is so much I want to do and read, but when I have a day off of work and can just crash, it's the best feeling.
