MarioFanGamer Mine was Moderna. Apparently, the sore arm is very common with that shot.
RPG Hacker If you are indeed Patrick Star, you and Bulkhead share a Voice Actor. Bulky even gets to fight a Starscream who sort of sounds like Evil SpongeBob. Transformers Animated is top-tier.Quintesson Judge: Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!

I've been double-dosed for a while now, and it feels very comforting. Although the pandemic is certainly not over (until everyone on Earth gets double-dosed), I feel like I can begin to reclaim parts of my life.
I did indoor dining for the first time in 18 months on Sunday, at a restaurant I used to go to all the time when I lived with my room-mate. It felt normal and strange at the same time.
Also, the career change I was planning on making totally fell apart, and I won't be doing it anymore. I guess that's the way things go sometimes.
That sounds nice. Honestly, I still don't quite know what to do with my life in the near future. Even once I've gotten my second shot, I'm not sure if things will immediately change for me. My plan was to start going to office again around October, but I'm not even sure about hat.
Anyways, in other news, I'll finally have an extended vacation for the first time this year starting tomorrow. This really is severely needed, it was quite a stressful year, and both my physical and mental health really need a break. I need to go outside badly.Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
Nice! Hope you enjoy your vacation
My biggest plans after I'm fully vaccinated are just seeing my friends again really lol. I really miss us going out or just getting together at someone's place. I'll be happy when we have that back. I'm hopeful that things will smoothen back to normality and be mostly back to normal by early 2022. Vaccination ages are quickly going down here, thankfully - my turn might already be this month!
My vaccination age is rapidly approaching down here (currently it's at 27). I've never been so eager about it in ages, and I'm just looking forward for the pandemic to be over and be able to agglomerate with my friends with no more risks
Also, have a nice vacation, RPG Hacker. You deserve it, given that these times have been nothing but stressful to everyone.
Hey there!
Right now they're vaccinating people who are 26 and up where i live so i believe my time is finally coming next week! I can't tell how many nights i couldn't sleep just panicking about maybe having covid so yeah i've been eagerly waiting for this moment too...
I wanna see my friends sooo bad, it's been almost two years since the last time we were together so i'm hoping maybe we can meet again by the end of this year but still, we all gotta get the 2nd shot first. I also really wanna see my dad and grandma again... Last time i saw them it was the end of 2017! Way before the pandemic.
Really glad you finally get to enjoy some time off, RPG Hacker! I'm sure it's gonna be really good for you.
Thanks! I'll definitely enjoy it. My vacation would have started already, but there's a few work-related things I still badly need to get done before that, so I'll quickly take care of that and then it's time to relax.

I'm starting to see more and more people, such as some family members, who don't want their second dose. Not just not getting vaccinated altogether, just...not getting their second dose. I'm having a hard time understanding why.
I do believe that we will reach a certain level of herd immunity that will protect everyone, but we can't really get there with one dose--we all need two.
If there is anything good that has come out of this, though, it's that we all have more appreciation for seeing our friends. I hope we don't lose that.
Fyord My younger sister still hasn't gotten her first shot apparently. She's the only one in my immediate family who isn't vaccinated. She's scared of the rare side-effects from some of the shots. Worst I got was a sore left arm that lasted for about 3 days. I do sometimes feel like it was all in vain when I still have to wear a mask in some places. I'm sick of masks.Quintesson Judge: Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!

It certainly wasn't in vain. Not only you're protected (not sure if you heard, but more than 90% of the people who have been dying lately over your country were unvaccinated), you've done your part to push the pandemic to its end. As someone who's so eagerly waiting for their turn (which, if all goes well, could be next week!) it's just bewildering to see people that have access to the vaccine not get it by choice. They're the sole reason you still have to wear masks.

You just described my sister. For instance, she wasn't intending to be vaccinated (she's afraid of needles and the vaccine's side effects), but after some rough convincing, she ultimately ended up having no other options.
I'm also overhearing that if more than 75% of the city population is vaccinated, we're no longer forced to wear masks (we're currently at a whopping 58% for the first dose and 25% for the second, according to our vaccination data). While I hope that becomes a reality and in fact everyone is sick of the pandemic, we still have to wear masks until it's completely over. Blame some reckless people.
I have some sympathy for people who are nervous about rare side-effects. It is impossible to say that someone won't get rare side-effects.
As for being sick of masks? Meh. It's life at this point. I think it is no different than putting on a coat when it's cold (if there are anti-coaters out there, then I have lost all hope). Masks are also beneficial in other ways:
- Helps curb allergies when worn outside by reducing pollen and other irritants from being breathed in.
- Masks make shared bathrooms...shareable by cutting down on the smell.
- Sometimes, masks can be stylish. The cloth ones can be especially festive. I know people who made Halloween and Christmas-themed ones, and I think that's just fun.

Same. Well, except for maybe riding on buses or in cold weather. I think part of why I'm sick of them might have more to do with having to wear them rather than the masks themselves, since we're having to wear them in places where they could easily be contaminated (restaurants, work, etc.) Restaurants in particular are weird since you'll bring one in with you, and then once you start eating you might as well not have even brought one with you. Same thing with going on break at work.

I got my second dose. Day 1, all I dealt with is a minor sore arm. I'll have to see how I'll fare on Day 2.
I'm also sick of wearing masks. I still do it because I have to, but at some point i just hope things become semi-normal around here soon enough.

I wonder if they could also protect against the smell of cigarette smoke in areas where ppl are smoking.
I would say so. With cannabis being legal here (and living in the downtown core, where there are probably 5 pot stores within a 10-mile radius), I sometimes have to walk through literal clouds of weed smoke when walking downtown. No, I am not exaggerating one bit. I have found that when I am wearing a cloth mask, it cuts out the smoke smell completely. As for the blue disposable ones, they still do cut down on it a bit, but not as much.
Can SMW Central please make a site mask? I would wear it. If we're stuck wearing them, why not at least have some fun with it.
One thing I really don't like is how often I see masks carelessly tossed on the ground. Do ppl not know how to operate a trash can? Maybe if ppl used more reusable face masks more often. I'd even rather have more ppl get sick than normal than see an otherwise beautiful grassy area/river/ocean with disposable face masks littering it.The definition of insanity is posting in my own hack thread(s) over and over and expecting a different result. Well, people already littered before face masks, so naturally they still litter with face masks around. It sucks and I don't understand why people are so careless either, but it seems impossible to prevent on a grand scale. People just don't care about any damage they cause as long as they can't be held accountable for it, and littering is just one of those offenses that people consider minor at best and that are very easy to get away with. I literally think the only way to prevent littering would be to pay people money for disposing trash properly.Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
First dose down, one to go!
I too got vaccinated with the first dose today. Now I'm in the process of turning into an alligator as alluded by our beloved president Bolsonaro 🐊
All I got so far was a sore arm and some sort of "weight" on my forearm, but I had no other side effects. Let's see how I'll fare the next few days.
