I think I'm just going to stop making wishes.

How do yall keep catching covid? I haven't even been sick in like a decade.

Of course I do eat an apple everyday. #w{=P}

I wonder which will release first, an Omicron specific vaccine or Silksong.

Or a banana. I have either or both of those most days. I haven't had a stomach virus that makes me throw up in over a decade and IDK if I remember ever having the flu despite only sometimes taking the flu shot. I have had a bunch of colds tho (or at least the sensation of mucus in my throat with malaise). IDK if I could give a satisfactory answer on the spot on why that is. I have the feeling of "do well but not perfect" in regards to overall nutrition since I still eat Taco Bell sometimes as well as packaged foods with a laundry list of hard to pronounce ingredients on the label. I do take multivitamins and get physical activity too.

Gonna brave the elements and walk down to the card shop today for the first time in this new town.

I'm excited! Looking forward to seeing what kinds of MTG cards they have in comparison to the card store back in Colorado.

Going to have to bring an umbrella though.

[UPDATE] That card store sucks donkey butt. They had no selection of singles to choose from, didn't even sell booster boxes, the places was small and cramped and messy.

I'm a little disappointed. But It just means I'll need to purchase my Magic cards online somewhere. Which is fine it's cheaper that way. I just lose the instant gratification. But it does give me something to look forward to. :O

Recently wanted to sell some games at a local store near me (Gamestop) about 4 games and they seriously only wanted to offer me enough to make it worth 1 game. That means if I would say yes, I would have received little money and they would have sold it more expensive.

It's really awful how expensive things are there and they don't sell old games like Snes/GB and so on. But the great thing is I recently bought a Super Nintendo with Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Land 2 Six Golden Coins at an electronics store and everything didn't cost me 500 euros like a damn PS5 or XSX. In general, everything is becoming more expensive, including food, electricity and rent.

I use TCGPlayer for just about all of my online MTG purchases. They're almost always the cheapest option, though since COVID hit, they seem to have had trouble keeping stock for TCGPlayer Direct, and if you don't use that, you get a bunch of different packages from different sellers and have to micromanage more. I've also used StarCityGames, mtgmintcard, and ChannelFireball (and way back in 2015, I ordered from a site that seems to be defunct called Planeswalker's Library), but none of those have prices as low consistently as TCGPlayer. Of course, if you really want to get cards cheap and aren't using them in a tournament, proxies are the best option. mpcfill.com allows you to get card images, and MakePlayingCards.com allows you to upload them and make proxies with them for about $0.26 per card (or more for smaller orders; I usually use the largest size, 612 cards). Of course, it doesn't help for cards that cost less than 26 cents, but it can save a lot of money if you often buy singles that are more expensive than that.

Anyway, what I came to this thread for is to point out that today (July 14) is International Non-Binary People's Day. So happy visibility to all my fellow people who are anything other than completely male or completely female 100% of the time. May the world recognize us more.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 63/95 levels.
My coffee filter just collapsed and now there's grounds in my coffee.

The college radio station in my town actually plays in between songs sometimes.

It's funny when they do it, but it can be jarring after they get finished playing some mellow jazz tune.

To keep the trend I should mention that I got my second booster/fourth shot for COVID yesterday. Posting it so it's effective
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
I'm waiting for my fourth shot for COVID. My "beautiful" city allowed it for people over 40 this time and didn't lower the age yet 🙄
Since I am currently without any job, I decided to take a trip to Berlin at the end of August before I probably get a workplace and lack of time to travel for the more distant cities. It'll certainly be an adventure since a) this is the first time I booked a hotel on my own and b) it also is the first time I'm taking a long-distance train ever in my life.
The only thing left is to find some restaurants and destinations besides visiting relatives and do the obvious stuff (public transport, Brandenburg Gate) but these are easier to handle.
Either way, after visiting it three or four times for only a single day (three times for visiting relatives, one time for a school trip), it certainly was time to take a closer look at Berlin and see what's in there.

In general, I really have got a desire to visit other German cities such as Hamburg (which, incidentally, I visited in part of the same school trip on the way to home), Cologne and Nuremberg thanks to the fact that I travelled to Frankfurt on my own at May before doing so multiple times with the 9€ tricket and have a desire to visit other cities, though it's more likely that I'm taking a day to visit cities such as Mannheim and Koblenz which are around an hour away by regional trains than the aformentioned cities and easily visitable by a single day.
That's pretty cool, and sounds quite fun! I'd certainly like to travel a bit myself, but anxiety makes that quite hard. Not only is the prospect of organizing it quite scary, but anything that's out of my comfort zone (or really just anyhing that differs from my day-to-day life) costs me a lot of energy, so often times, there's things that I'd love to do, but just merely thinking about them already costs me so much energy that I immediately discard the idea.

Nevertheless, since you've brought up travelling to different cities in Germany, it's something I should keep in my mind as an option as well. I take trains pretty much daily, so I'm quite comfortable with them, and pretty much all major German cities are connected by train lines, so it would allow me to get pretty much anywhere. I think that alone would cut out a major chunk of the stress factor and anxiety for me. Additionally, visiting a city in Germany is probably something I could do even just over a weekend. So yeah, probably not a bad idea for my specific situation.

First post in a long time for me hoh boy, I miss the forums...

I actually traveled somewhere on my own by plane for the first time to meet up some online friends I met from Discord in person. It was at Anthrocon 2022, a furry convention in Pittsburg. I mostly did this in an attempt to overcome my anxiety of traveling on my own and to be awarded with seeing a long time friend as my first time meeting up with a person I first met online, and it was honestly the most fun experience I've had this year! I really want to do this more often, but ahhhh, I only feel comfortable meeting up at a place where an event or convention is happening so that there is something for us to do. But also the cost of traveling is pretty big so I can't just travel freely, haha. Having fun can be expensive, y'know? Still definitely worth it if you can save up.

Typing this post from my brand new laptop that I got for school coming up this fall. Really like it. Nice big track pad, 64 gb of ram and 2 tb of hard disk space.

It's an ASUS ProArt StudioBook 16. It was the best I could get within my price range. Didn't want to go for the cheap cheap, but also couldn't afford to go crazy and get an Apple computer. This ASUS came pre-installed with Windows 11 and so far it's given me no issues. Visually it's just #smw{...} too much like Apple which is a discussion that's already been had.

Despite the amount of disk space, I'm still opting to use an external drive of 4 tb as well. If I'm going to be working with creative programs like Pro Tools and need to save large file backups, I'll need the space.

I just now had to get my motherboard AND CPU replaced and now my PC is working again, but now I can't get my VR working for some reason. It keeps saying "Make sure your display cable is plugged in correctly" even tho AFAIK it looks to be all connected.
EDIT: I eventually somehow got it to work. Hopefully it's consistent. Would really prefer wireless.

i made a 160km bike trip with my dad in two days last week. it was really an endurance test especially because of the heat. my muscles don't even feel that sore.

what outside activities do you all engage in?
Honestly, not many at those temperatures. I can't deal with heat very well, and even less with intense sunshine.

I do like going an walks when the weather isn't as bad, but only when there's interesting places for me around. Aside from that, I like to go swimming, but I stick to indoor pools there.

I haven't been here in a while, damn this is nostalgic...
Hello.
I'm probably far from the only one with this sentiment but I kinda feel as tho the phrase "if you can't handle criticism you might as well stop posting" might as well be changed to "If you can't handle criticism, just keep posting as tho you wanted criticism since hardly anyone comments on anything anymore anyway."

What's poppin' in here then?? Been a while since I visited this old thread... Tomorrow's the first day of Fall. I've been keeping myself outta trouble on SMW Central since the little gambling scuffle at the start of the year.

"Oh! Hi, System! Watchcha been doin'?" You say? Oh, well, funny you should be askin'. I've decided to start farmin' and "live off the land", growin' some rootin' tootin' vegetables. Turns out, farmin' is a real passion of mine. I've even ordered myself a hat from hats4farmers.com which I think'll be delivered tomorrow.

Would you like to see some of my veg? I don't care if you don't, I'm showin' you anyway...

'ere is my Tomato. They're nice and round and juicy.

'ere is my Cabbage... Wait, I mean Bell Pepper. Whatever.

'ere is my Turnips... Well, so I thought. They look odd. Sorta like someone I used to know, but I can't seem to place my claw on who or what!! I don't know what went wrong with these ones.

I've got more veg growin' too. But I can't harvest them until tomorrow. Maybe I'll show you some more veg tomorrow.
