More specifically, it's been public since January 1, 2006 (or at least no earlier than late November 2005), so it's just turned 18.
Late to the conversation, but yeah, the site was first made public on January 1 in 2006 (or January 2, in Kieran's timezone). The "2005" in the copyright info at the bottom of the page just refers to the fact that they had been working on the site since the previous November.Twitter

All right, now it's my turn to get all emotional/nostalgic: Ten years ago today was the day that I decided to join SMW Central. That's 10 out of almost 23 years (my birthday's in two days). I'm kind of surprised that it hasn't even been half of my life yet, actually; it feels like I've been on here wayyyy longer than I actually have. Kind of a funny feeling.
Ten years ago today, I was a socially awkward 7th-grader who was obsessed with creepypasta and constantly fantasized about becoming a famous YouTuber. Today, I'm a slightly less socially-awkward college student who's about to receive a degree in physics, and still constantly fantasizes about becoming a famous YouTuber. I'm also incredibly handsome now. And I've got a sexy voice.Twitter

Hi guys, what did you think of this C3? Did everyone manage to participate? I participated for the first time, but I didn't win anything as I had no more ideas to show.
Woof, so that Hack Moderation Helper spot is open now and i'm feeling very unsure whether to pursue it or not. On one hand, it's precisely what I wanted for 13 years and I feel like I could do a good job cuz I did test hacks before and seem to have done a good job then. On the other hand, I am 99% sure that i'm gonna be knackered from my new internship if it does end up going through- and my past experiences on this site probably aren't speaking in my favor either.
No idea what to do. Maybe the staff needs to implement the role of a helper's helper, haha.
Today is the 1 year anniversary since the Mario movie came out!
2023 was the year of Princess Peach Taking a Level in Badass. From the Mario movie to Wonder and the Mario RPG Remake, she proved that she can be just as capable an action heroine as not only her male costars, but is capable of saving the world just like Samus, Celes Chere, Princess Leia, Sarah Connor and Ellen Ripley. I just wish this character development happened sooner.
Time passes so quickly in just the blink of an eye, I don't know what will happen to me in the future if I think about staying here or disappearing for a while... Although I'm not a long-time user, I'm grateful that I love seeing people working on their projects and I try to help as much as I can.
My English isn't 100% good, I don't care how I speak but at least everyone understands
I Finally at long last graduated from High School once and for freaking all!!!!!!!!! Goodbye stupid freaking school!!!!!!!!!!! Won't miss you at all!!!!!!!! But thank you for giving my high school diploma!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyways, time to move on to the next chapter/next era of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool, There are only 2 years left until I finish high school. I'm communicating and having a lot of fun there! (Although I have to do several complicated tasks for me to finish)

This place is kind of dead, so every now and then a new message appears (maybe)
And of course the suggestion is "jUsT gEt On DiScOrD" which rather than being an additional way to interact might as well be the de facto replacement for site interaction (as long as C3 isn't happening at the moment). And then eventually Discord will become dead much like the forums while another app/site pops up that the community will get on and be more active on, and the cycle will repeat. Not to rain on your parade, but every now and then spam bots are a thing here. You just don't see them because they're dealt with quickly.
That said, Discord has served as a "replacement" to the B&G for quite a while now, given that Discord is an instant message app and people find it easy to talk with each other more than the forums. I don't think it will die so soon, but it's still nice to see this thread get replies whenever there are replies.Você sempre alegre e eu sem razão
