Because they find other interests. Like me, i disappeared for one and half year because i wanted to do something else. SMW hacking is fun, but it does not give opportunities. And i want opportunites. I came back because i had some nostalgia and wanted to make with SMW a little more, but i dunno how much i will remain here. Like i was saying, Ghetto was making real games rather than hacks (i have seen a video of Ghetto). And yeah, I was gone for a bit. Almost hit bankruptcy, and took time to hyperdose on reading books, associating with people more successful than I was, and just fight to get some cash to pursue interests.
You guys have a soft spot in my heart, and Yoshi's Island got me back in the groove, so I hope something awesome can come out of it.

hi guys i think there was a rule long ago about no returning posts in here but hi i'm back for like the next two days and stuff.
also in my time gone i got into homestuck yeah look see there's some content in this actual post.
Things like these make me think there's some kind of forum where all you guys hang out, talk to each other and plan when you'll all return, just to surprise everyone. O_o

What a coincidence that so many of these old users are coming back. I, too, guess I might as well return after about two months of unannounced hiatus. I blame college, and I don't know how active I'll be. Heck, I still have to test a hack, not to mention release the hack I said I'd release about a month and a half ago. At least I've been casually lurking though. (remind me to check out what new hacks have come out)

because i just felt like checking back to see how everyone on the site is doing, yet my life seems to have gotten better since i left and i'm afraid staying longer might send me back into that pit (no offense to those who are consistently here).
