EDIT:due to a terrible but strange thing, something has gotten into my SM72 rom and now it is canceled. Now i am working on a brand new hack!

The screenshots looks decent enough, you should probably change the colors alittle and add some more textures, it will make it less level 105'ish.

And btw, what exact is land of 72? The number just seem so random to me.

This looks more of a Chocolate hack than a Vanilla hack since it's using Custom Sprites which isn't vanilla. anyway I like this hack so far. once i see a vid. ill look at it to see anything wrong.
I change my layout every 4-5 months
Looks good so far! But like Uhrix said, add a custom palette. And... It's not vanilla if there's a custom sprite in it. #w{=P}

i really liked super mario 64 and the gamecube tech demo super mario 128, so i just made up 72 out of the blue.
1) Please don't tell me you don't see the cutoff in the Factory level.
2) IMO, there's too big of a difference between SUPER MARIO and 72.
3) In the Intro, "Of" shouldn't be capitalized.

Your "Ruined Factory" level looks, to be blunt, pretty bad. The clouds in the background have dodgy palettes, the background is bland, and it's full of cutoff. Try playing around with the Map16 a bit more; maybe try flipping some tiles around to minimize cutoff.

time for a major screen update!
have you ever watched the anime "castle in the sky"? The Floating city of Laputa gave me the idea for this level. i'm calling it "factory in the sky" now.
and i'm fixing the BG now.

considering people are talking about a video on your thread and i dont see one does this mean i am blind you deleted it?

if so i dont have much to criticise but you extreme cutoff, maybe edit the ExGFX... out-line some dirt tiles, maybe make funky shapes outta them :)
it will minimise your cutoff and give it a nicer look over all :)

also, what hammer bro?

EDIT: also point out your edits. it's so confuzzling :(

He removed it, as well as a bunch of screenshots. Mojopo, that's not a good idea.

yes, that is a bad idea, but SUDDENLY NEW SCREENS!
i removed the hammer bro, replaced the Purple Pipe Palette with the Rad Red Palette, took all the edges out of factory in the sky, and replaced most of the mechakoopas with ninjis.
-dude... red pipes, eyes... hurt... D:

-and the OW has perspective error where mario walks on the land

-still loads of cut off in level 2

-map16 skills are ok, i like the floating land and stuff :)

-custom music please :D i love smw music but its getting.... old

-title screen is uneventfull... just sayin'

improve on those please :)

1) The 72 looks even worse than before. Either use normal text for SUPER MARIO, change the name, or draw custom GFX.
2) Cutoff BG in intro
3) Mario walking off a cliff straight into water doesn't makes sense.
4) How does a bridge connect a high ledge to a flat island?
5) Cutoff Bush (at the corner)
6) Cutoff BG in level (at the bottom of the visible part of the tallest hill)
7) Red Pipe's palette is a bit too bright
8) Red Water's palette is a bit too bright
9) The Message Box's message is a little awkward with such a huge gap at the end (minor)
10) The water looks like it was meant to kill you (minor)
11) Super Koopas in the first level is a bit hard for new players
12) Level is very flat and boring
13) Level is very linear (minor)
14) Random flashing during the event
15) How does Mario walk straight off of a cliff onto a flat island?
16) That doesn't look like a sky
17) OH GOD MEGA CUTOFF
18) Level 2 also has problems 12 and 13
19) Those gray wires don't look like something you can stand on.

i didnt think they were flat?
i would have no problrm playing a level like that its not like its just one long piece of land :/

maybe personal preference
