Shrek Treasure Hunt - PS1/PSX

What an absolute fucking travesty this game is! The graphics are horrible even for the PS1 standard. It's too short and I finished it in less than 50 minutes! I had bought it for £5.99 but even that is too expensive. I immediately returned it after I had finished with it.

Here's what you do:
1. Collect X items in the level (where X is a number)
2. Play a generic mini-game and win a reward item
3. Repeat 1 & 2!

BORING!

I don't think E.T. was that bad. It was just confusing.

Let's put it this way. Atari usually spend 6 months on their games but since the producers of E.T. wanted it out by xmas they only had 3 weeks. The controls were clunky and the entire game had been poorly tested. It also had fairly bad visuals compared to what the Atari was capable of.

I'll pull up a couple of screens to show this:

Tetris

And yes. It was so bad that they took all copies of the shelves and buried them in the desert...

This game was one of the only games to use Mode 5 (high resolution). What a disgrace. ;_;

Ever heard of something called sarcasm? (Even though sarcasm on an internet forum doesn't really work that well...)

The orignal Wii Sports is my least favorite video game of all time.

The worst game i've played is Super Monkey Ball: Step And Roll on Wii. The levels are too easy, the music/sound is awful, and quite frankly the game felt like torture to play.

Thankfully I didn't buy the game, I played it at my cousin's house.

Wow barely anyone is mentioning a new game. Well this is a retro site, so what do you expect?

What the cd-i "games"?
The CD-I was a gaming system made in collaboration with Phillips and Nintendo. At the point of it's release, most games were turning to CD's while Nintendo still used cartridges. They wanted a piece of the action and ended up signing a deal with Sony to release two CD based systems. An extension for the SNES called the SNES CD I believe which would attach to the bottom of your SNES. And also the PlayStation (yes you heard me right). Before the unveiling of these two systems, the contract was looked over and Nintendo noticed that Sony would have full control over what was released on each system. As a result, Nintendo secretly struck a deal with Phillips instead and left Sony behind (which turned out to be a BIG mistake). Sony released the PlayStation and ended up making a huge profit that Nintendo had thrown away. The Phillips CD-I originally sparked a lot off a lot of interest but from the likes of Hotel Mario, the two Zelda games and more failures, Nintendo ended up losing out.

I very much disliked playing this game.
Every place in the game looks the same and the music gets annoying very quickly.

How To Design a Good Overworld
A game I really dislike is The legend of Spyro: enter the dragonfly. The graphics stink, all the characters look exectly alike, and the final boss is even easier the second time you beat him! Plus, who ever heard of a bug taking damage for a dragon? If I was Sparx, I would ditch Spyro as soon as I had the chance! There are also so many glitches in the game. Once, I fell off a cliff and I never stopped falling, what the heck is that? #w{>=(} Also, enemies keep getting stuck in place. Another time, I was racing down a volcano, but the path BECAME INVISIBLE. You world think they have programmers to fix this sortta stuff! *Sigh* All in all, this game is REALLY lame. #w{x(}

I always tried to avoid the shitty games when I was growing up (and especially nowadays), so it's hard to pick one that was absolutely terrible. I guess if I really had to pick one, it would probably be that weird 2D platforming Pac-Man game for the SNES (I don't even remember the name of it now, but I thought it was one of the dumbest concepts for a game I've ever seen).

Oh, and Mario is Missing sucked too. If I want to learn about various cities around the world, I'll go to the library, thanks.

This was Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures and that game was rad :(
