My computer is a jerk!

My PC is a quad core windows 7 PC and it about 3 months old.

Well, ever since I came home from holiday, my new Web cam arrived. So I plugged it in and installed the software. However the software look...old, so I still used it. A couple of hours later from installing the software, out of no-were, My PC when to a black screen saying "No Signal" and made a loud noise, however the Power Buttons light was still on. I then shut down the PC (by hold the power button) and booted it back up. It worked fine for an hour and then did the same again. So I booted it back up once more and after 5 seconds of being on the desktop, it crashed :/. We then Un-plugged the web cam before switching on the PC and it didn't crash for the rest of the day. We Un-installed the software. It only crashed once the next day and then didn't crash for a whole week.

However, yesterday (2nd June 10) It crashed again whilst playing one of my favourite games for the SNES, Plok! This was very strange.
and today, I went and go a brand new Web cam, plugged it in, and half an hour...it crashed again (today 3rd June). However this may of just been consequential timing, since it crashed yesterday. So, we Un-installed AVG (anti-virus program) and Norton, and tried a system restore to back before the day of when the PC was shut down before the holiday, however, it failed... We then Re-installed AVG (but not Norton since the subscription ran out). However, we were looking back at the updates the PC has done, and there was a very strange one.
All the updated are digitally signed by Microsoft and link to the website support.Microsoft.com, however this one WASN'T digitally signed by Microsoft and lead to a link of go.Microsoft.com.
Anyway, the update was called "KB71033" (i think) and after looking up it on the internet, we found out it was a validation checker thing, but it wasn't needed. So we un-installed the update and here i am now.

This webcam doesn't crash my other PC's and i dont think it is the webcam though :/

I'd like to see if Linux has the same problems. Try going to this site and download it. See if it has the same problems too... if it does, it's very likely a hardware problem and not Windows' fault.
layouts suck
Actually, I figured out that this is indeed a hardware problem.
For some reason, Nvidia GT220 Graphics card and 64-bit windows dislike each other, and I found out loads of people are having this problem, especially with Packard Bell PC's (which mine is).
