Looks great! I like the underground bg palette.

I also have an idea for an enemy, if you want to implement it. You can have one of the flying ? blocks as an enemy, but with turn block graphics.

Arrows are cool. Also, nice palettes and gradient for both images. They are fitting your level awesomely.

Wow those screens look freaking amazing. I adore the palette you've got going in the underground area, of course I'm biased cause I freaking love the colour purple, but that just makes me enjoy the way that looks more. It is needing some more decorations in the levels themselves, like people have said (coins, enemies, decorative gfx, etc), but that doesn't stop these from being really nice to look at.

I love the graphics :D Seriously, how did you learn to draw tilesets so good?! I like the subtle vanilla/strawberry graphics added here and there, it's the little things that make this hack awesome :D

I really like the style of this hack, and it's not just the general look of it, it's also the little things like the Buzzy Beetles and Skulls in the BG of the cave level.

Great! Just great. I like the tilesets you drew for this hack, and you have some really neat ideas. The vanilla graphics references are awesome. Your fake HDMA is very visually appealing, and the recurring BG is very nice looking.

The level design is cool, but seems a little flat here and there - might just be my "put everything everywhere" personal preference thing though.

More awsome graphics to stare at.

Though think of the normal smb/smw for the story, the blocks give mario/luigi powerups thst help put a stop to bowsers evil plan to kidnap princess peach/ take over the mushroom kigndom. So bowser tries to distroy all blocks to make the bros. easyer giving the youre typical bowser final boss. yay.
Or a totaly new Character who got a poison mushroom as a child and has gotten a deep hatred ever since and thinks all blockes are like that.

This hack has been shaping up very nicely as of recently. It really does speak when people can post for an entire page of forum space talking about a single update. Like everyone has said; the palettes are great, the graphics are a delight to look at, and the altered physics fits your character very well. The level design is solid and there is nothing I can really say that no-one else here is said. Great stuff here!
Normally I don't get hyped about hacks but this is an exception.

Hi guys! its me, the block form the hack. Uhrix let me write this reply because he's out of words and thought I should be able to meet the nice guys supporting this hack.

@ 1UPdudes: Uhrix have been very inspired by Lynnes lately in a "chillout-hack" he's making. Also, the underground pic (of me) was most to show of his second tileset

@ everest700: I guess when you say graphics = sweet, you mean me too!? Anyway, Uhrix will add some new (non-block) enemies in this cave to fight me down *sigh*

@ Midna: I also like them, they reminds me of that "super mario world" game where is did nothing else than break into pieces..

@ Neutron: I'm not looking forward to the next level, its going to be harder than the last one. I had a "near death" experiece in that level!

@ MarioFan22: Yea, without that arrow I would't be sure if that gap ended with death or an safe underground area. Also, I like the color of yellow super koopas

@ JDC: I enjoyed that palette too, it's both warm and cold. Also, I can ask uhrix about your suggestion, it sounds halerious! He'll probably use that later

@ Jacob: I can agree that Uhrix is good photographer, you don't wanna know about all the pictures he has taken of me..! Also, I think Uhrix shold enchant my graphics a bit too so I fit in with rest of the grapical enviroment

@ DrawingYoshi: I think Uhrix could made more effort on that arrow to make it even cooler. Btw, that gradient is just so damn fake, but whatever, it works!

@ Sniggerb0bble: Its great that you love purple, but I just wanna let you know that yellow is the negative color of purple, ain't that cool! Also, I would love some more coins to eat, but less enemies to defeat! ..did that rhyme?

@ Spud Alpha: I think Uhrix started to draw mario levels on paper when he was 5 year old. You know, "practice makes perfect", he's 21 now.

@ THE EVIL CHEEPO!!!!!: Uhrix explained the wierd monsters in the BG to me, he said that it was like that in that super mario bros 3 game.

@ Dylancd5010: I can't even see the overworld, Uhirx told me that it is a sort of menu inspired by that yoshi's island game. Also, thanks alot! I'm probably kinda cute..yea

@ GN: Uhrix told me some norwegian words, I think they go like this; "Si takk til folk som liker denne hacken", does that fit in this context? Also, I've heard that you wanna help Uhrix out with this hack, that sounds awsome, can't wait to see what you come up with!

@ LarryMatt101: Heh, those screens was in the first place meant to be "explanatory screens", not epic ones.

You're doing an EPIC job. I haven't been here but only a few days. However, after looking through a SMW legend's hacks (Icegoomba), I'm starting to think that if this doesn't get featured Imma take an admin hostage and demand him/her to ruffle my bi-colored cap nonstop for 100000 days. ^^

On a more serious note, The SMB3 background white sprite concept is a nice way to add a slight retro feel. ^^ And, thx for the response to my idea, and the layout I got. ^^ I'm too lucky already. x.x

Eh, when the time comes, I'm pretty sure no testers will find almost any cutoffs, since this is completely revamped from the original SMW, and because you're taking your time. I'm still bent on beta testing if I can, we'll see? Maybe. ^^

Erm, maybe a sky level is in order sometime? They usually can be filled with fluffiness, which is quite matching with what you have now in the EXGFX area. :3 If so, make sure you have a cloud to bounce on! :D

Well, I can honestly say that this hack really looks like it had ASM patches interted to it. But that's okay, as you said, all hacks can be good if you put lots of effort in to it. Also, thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Going like this is how people get their hacks in the top ratings. Good job, Uhrix!

This is the second level of ABL, as I want to call the hack. It introduce a new underground tileset. I'm quite satisfied with it as I suck at drawing slopes. The music is again from Jimmy (which is making a insane original hack atm btw).

@ maddened hacker: Heh, I'm now working on the third level, it's a vertical level where you jump from platform to platform upwards.

@ StephenH: Thanks alot! I guess this hack will be featured if I ever finish it. I'm working hard with school and work every day, so I have alot less time for hacking than I had a month ago. Also, there will ofc be a sky world, probably the fifth world as I follow YI patterns.

@ Igna6750: The hex edits may look like ASM, I guess they are ASM in some way actually. Heh, the fun part is that I needed to bump this thread to answer you this time.

Awesome cave level, Uhrix. I especially like those mine cart graphics, they look very charming.

As I suggested previously, I would make it more obvious that those red blocks hurt you. When I was first watching the video, I thought "why is he riding on that Mine Cart when he can just reach those areas without them?" I would just add more dangerous graphics to them, such as a skull and crossbones.

I love the idea behind this game and it well done too. Can't wait till the full release. ^_^
