Is it just me or does the boss battle restart after you beat it? *cough* some people *cough* might get confused and end up beating the boss thrice or so.

I will not steal from your hack, and if I do so you have the right to alert the mods that I stole content without permission.

The boss is sweet, but a bit repetitive. I'd suggest making it change a little after a while, give some clues as to when he is about to die etc. It really came as a shock that he suddenly fell out of the air for me.
Also perhaps darken the background a little, for 'Darkness Consumes' it sure is bright.

Well I guess the repetition is the main thing to focus on. I can assume it's quite hard to make multiple stages of a single boss fight, but right now it's just repeating the same pattern over and over. In fact, you only need one of the platforms and some patience. The second stage is way too easy when compared to the first one.
Of course you should fight fire with fire, you should fight everything with fire.

yeah, I kinda felt that too. I have a plan for when he says "darkness consumes" theres this thing called loopy light that makes it like REALLY hard to see, then after 1 more hit it goes into the darker lighting, then lighter, then back to full brightness when hes 1 hit from phase 2. I could do SO much more with this boss, but sprite limitations are, well limitating. I AM gonna change phase 2 a bit though.

Phase 2 was jsut a beta-phase, I was too lazy to make it change #w{=P}

I'll work on re-doing these phases in a tad.

Also, my idea for phase 3 is that of like in BiS, when after 2 bombs he's on the ground not moving, he doesn't attack you this time, however its raining flaming bits of space station which make it really hard to hit him. (you hurt him by jumping on him this time)

Very nice boss. Its just awesome in many ways. How'd you get the BG in the second part to scroll so quick?
You have an awesome boss, very good work. The scrooling part looks interesting that way. It's excellent overall, flareblade.

Nice job with the Dark Star Revamp, flareblade26. I love how you expanded the battle screen and made Dark Star turn invisible, it makes the battle more interesting. I'd pick the blue Shyguy, as he's the only one that has mask that isn't colored strangely due to the palette.

So, I decided to re-add the 1st section of the old cliffside castle back in, except this time its a lil different. Do you think its too hard for world 1 castle?

Eh, a bit imo, but just on the spin jumping part. To make it less difficult change the green mud (asuming it kills you) into water and remove the lower platform where the p-switch is so the player will have to time the jump a bit before getting it and still afford making mistakes, but try to make the higher platform a bit longer so there is more space to jump. Btw a reset-door would be good in case someone screws up and throws the p-switch in that block where Mario can't walk through, but I doubt someone would be that... clumsy.

Also, I love the graphics you used for the Torpedo Teds and the fireballs. :V Btw it seems a bit odd to me that enemies transform into coins when hit by a baseball.

Aww. I kind of liked the old castle- for some reason the soothing blue/yellow palette combined with the sparse graphics gave it a unique, watery atmosphere. I hope you use that combo somewhere else!

However, this level looks nice too, although I suggest beefing up the BG with something a little more tangible. But the FG is simply epic! Though the tree stump capped on both ends looks a little weird.

Anyway, love what you did with the Cliff-side Castle part of the level, it looks completely awesome. However, I do have a few things I don't like about it...

1) The message box should say "THIS CASTLE DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! Ever since what's-his-face occupied this place, it's been out of control!"

2) In my opinion, it looks hard to distinct what's ground and what's not with all of the trees everywhere. Especially at the spin-jumping part...

3) The Flying Hammer Brother's platform goes through the ground. I'd fix this soon, as it looks really strange...

4) The level is REALLY short, I know you're probably not done with that section, but I'm just putting this out here just in case you are...

Other than those few errors and nitpicks, the level looks really amazing. Just correct the grammar issues in the Message Box and you should be ready to continue!
