Porting an overworld to a new ROM

Yeah, I'm in the middle of porting my hack over to a new ROM, and I'm wondering if there's an easy way to port the overworld.

I've done this once before, and there was a glitch in LM that let you move the entire overworld by having two instances of LM open, but I can't seem to reproduce it in 1.71. Was this "fixed"? If not, is there a step by step procedure written down somewhere in case I've just forgotten how to do it?
It's not a glitch. Open the old rom in lunar magic, click the castle button to open the overworld window, in the regular window open the new rom, in the overworld window move something so the save button stops being grayed out and click it.

Be aware that this DOES NOT port a custom palette.
Not exactly Icemask. Well yes, you're correct when it comes to transferring the overworld 8x8 tiles, and possibly 16x16 tiles (I haven't had to do this process in a while) however you can copy the overworld palettes between roms through alcaro's owpalcpy tool. The tool is fairly simplistic to use when it comes to transferring OW palettes.

Worked perfectly. Thanks!

Heh, I use a patch that overrides those palettes anyway :)

I didn't mean it was impossible, I just meant the process I explained wouldn't port palettes.
Just wanted to point out to anyone that the ow palette is included in the palette that you make when you export the shared palette.
