i really need help on putting in custom things. listen carefully.
i need help on avoiding the visuses, because downloading things will either ruin my computer, my hack, etc. how can i avoid the visruses, and apply these to my hack:
EXGFX AND GFX
PATCHES
ASM files
blocks
music
sprites, ETC.
i will give full credit if you help me out. please guys, i need help. this whole thing is driving me crazy!

You don't get viruses just from downloading anything, and besides... everthing on SMWCentral gets checked, and If anything had a virus, it wouldn't be here. Unless a mod got lazy
Did it happened after you downloaded something here? I'm not saying that you can't get viruses by downloading things, I'm just saying, out of everything you download there is a possibilty that you could get a virus. The files or folder downloaded would have to have the virus on it. Perhaps, something else is wrong with your computer.
Your rom hack can crash for many reasons like a crappy hex edit, but before you do anything. Check to see if you rom is clean, http://www.smwcentral.net/online/clean/
If that doesn't help can you describe what you did before your rom hack crash?
Did you got this error when trying to insert the graphics?
If that did not work, did you add a patch to your rom hack and then it broke? If so you have to set free space to it by opening the .asm in notepad and then set your free space.
I doubt anything here is making your computer crash. If you really don't know how to get rid of a "virus", (Or what a virus is, apparently) you should probably download the following:
AVG free
Malwarebytes
SpywareBlaster
Three fantastic defense programs. And probably all you need.
Are you sure it's not your Anti-Virus? Tell me which Anti-Virus you have (If any), what OS you have, what your computer model is, etc. In other words, jut give me as much detail as you can.
