what did you use for the no scrolling untill all enemies are killed off screen (or something)?

I think there's a SMB1 1-1 background in the ExGFX section.

Pipes.

Lakitu Boss. I used the same method like the Hammer Bro, non scrolling thing. It throws MUSHROOMBAS

Pressing the R button makes Mario hide behind the throw block, thus he wont die when hit by a goomba [/sarcasm]
After the battle a pipe will appear, leading to GUESSHWAT.
Oh btw, note the grasses in the underground cave >_>

I made some progress while SMWC was down. I fixed ALOT of bugs.



The very first level. Nothing interesting to see, except that the item boxes and the clouds are animated, and updated compared to this. I also got a SMB1 styled statusbar.


Passing the first part of the not-so-torturing level, and the 101 battle with the hammer bro, you will end up in a cave. Also, the face of the koopa is a turning tile. >_>


It is torturing indeed. I died 2 times if you look at my lives. And as you can see, the background lamps are Palette-animated. I saved the RGB values in a .txt file :P


Oh my God, It is the legendary finish!


As you could guess, there is obiviously a flagpole there. And yes it IS similar to SMB1 flagpole, it only doesnt have fireworks.

So yeah, that was it... for now. Ignore the status bar palette in the underground cave. It needs to be fixed... yet.

Thanks Buu-Huu for ripping both outside backgrounds, except the underground cave.

I used SMB3 music patch, followed Mattrizzle's tutorial, and replaced SMB3 level musics with SMB1 level musics, including the unused one :O

The flag pole comes with the new STARSW.zip if I recall. Nice work implementing it properly.

@S.N.NRoselia: I CANT USE CUSTOM MUSIC D: D: D: (I wish there was a custom music inserter for SMB3 patch that was modified). Also, the flagpole WASN'T included with starsw.zip. Someone else made it for me (Chrono, if you see this, don't hint them)

It is a sprite only, it even generates the flag that is above the brown castle.

As you can see, there are currently NO updates. BUT, I am working on a set of custom block to use it in my hack and stuff. You can find them at my site, there are no purposes to hide them from you guys anyways >_>

For example, I made a sensetive brick from scratch, a random powerup giver and whatnot. I will use them in my hack.

EDIT: I lol'd at that custom music, Roselia >.>
EDIT2: now any comment that is NOT related to the flagpole? >_<

Looks annoying like the rest I saw from your hack. :D (In a good way)
You should really fix the turning tile of the Koopa, it looks annyoing (In a bad way though. D:) Of course it would be cool if the first background had those clouds that are seen in SMAS too but you don't wanted that set so yeah, don't come and cry... :P Your status bar in the cave needs to be fixed but everything else looks good, very annoying. ^^ What I suggest: Learn VRAM damned and use this shitty Layer 3 for recreating the whole background. >_< (*inserts Lolwutermelon here*)
And now to come to your flagpole (god, you're afraid, right?), AMAZING, COOL, AWESOME, GIMME THAT, TOTALLY UNBELEAVABLE!!! Wuahahahaha. Keep up the good work. BTW, *use that cool level with the pwn music as easteregg in your hack*.

Anyways, the level looks pretty good. :o
