Any news about VIP 6? Or are they still in trouble with the final boss and stuff? (I read previous replies and noticed about this)

Also, I'm looking forward to that VIP 4 translation! It's still one of my favourite hacks and it'd be really good to play it again in a readable language.

And speaking of VIPs, how would you order them all in terms of difficulty? I've read VIP 2 is VERY hard, but I haven't played it yet (I will soon though) and VIP 3 seems very unbalanced in this aspect.

1) Vip 2
2) Vip 3
3) Vip 1
4) Vip 4
5) Vip 5

Probably. Hardest(1)-least(5)

They're having final boss issues, from what I've been reading.

Could be that they stopped working on it all together. A while ago I tried out the Boldfin link to see if it was working but the page gave me a 404.

Unless they moved to a different file repository site and got rid of the old one or it should be cancelled, but I have no idea what 2ch board they are currently residing on so I can't check.

Does anyone know anything new about Brutal Mario? And I am having problems entering that Japanese website for any reason.
Damn... cancelling a hack just because the final boss... what a pity, I hope this is not the case.

How can I see who made the levels in the VIP collab?
Have you tried the webpage MAGAMon shared?
http://www18.atwiki.jp/sm4wiki_mix/

Also, I wonder what happened with Brutal Mario. I visit dragon151 webpage and nothing new.
Brutal Mario is ancient to the point where it's older than the youngest members on the site right now (assuming we still have some 10-12 year old users). It's been over 13 years since the hack was started, I can only imagine that carol wants to move on and do other things. Not to mention he's probably running out of space for new ASM to be inserted at this point.

I didn't even know Brutal Mario was still actively being updated.

I figured it was just completely irrelevant nowadays besides to introduce people to SMW hacks.
I wonder how the SMW japanese hackers would react the newest version of Lunar Magic (v3.0).
Also, the latest Brutal Mario demo i played have only one new level.

We have to wait until Super SIG World 39 but the problem with the new version has a lot of incompatiblities so I'm not sure if they gonna like that.
I'm not sure how fast the japanese hackers will adapt his resources, considering most of them still uses old tools, but if they do, it'll be great. Would be really cool to see what the VIPPERS or Carol can do with this new Lunar Magic (though sadly, both of them seems to be retired). The dream of a VIP7 (or rightfully a VIP6 2) comes to mind instantly.

A VIP 6 2 is definitely more in line with the VIPs' sense of humour, as well.

At this point I can't really see VIP 6 coming out. It's been around 2 years now. Brutal Mario is long gone. 1-1 came out in 2015 and we've heard nothing since. Majoiryt of the japanese scene has moved on at this point. =<
