I would like to have some way of posting ROM disassembly so everything is together in one place.

@Zeldara109
Could a RAM map section be added to the YI hacking Wiki?

I added some more ROM offsets

It's a wiki. Just go ahead and create pages on it-- adding a RAM map page and one or more pages for disassemblies sounds good to me.

Not sure if Wikia has anything against ROM disassembling, though... they seem fine with ROM hacking in general, but it's probably a good idea to backup the important pages every so often, just in case.

Ok, the RAM map is up.

Here is an IPS that replaces Yoshi's SNES jumping SFX with the GBA SFX

What the...?
Now, THAT was unexpected. I already assumed you would have given up replacing the SFX things with the GBA ones. Great! I will immediately test it!

*EDIT*
Very good, but the sound seems a little too low-pitched to me. Is this alterable? I know that was just the first bit of SFX replacement, but I guess a routine must be added, so that Yoshi has two different Jump-SFXes (since that's the case in the GBA version), of which one is played each time he jumps.
SFX hack version No. 2

Fixed pitch, and changed tongue SFX

I have been thinking about the sounds for the 2 jumps.
Since the new sounds are smaller in size, I can put both jump sounds together, and offset the tongue pointer. The SFX pointers are in ARAM,
so all I would need to do is hijack the jump SFX routine, read in the frame counter, and 0x02 with it, use that as an offset to update
the 2byte pointer in ARAM. The players actions should make it random.

Wow, pretty cool!
So, if I got that right, the former SFXes were "WAVs", too? That would mean, that no freespace would be consumed, which is a great advantage. The box moving sound, however, will consume some free space, since in the SNES version Yoshi doesn't make any sound, and in the GBA he makes the "hmmmmmm" noise IIRC.
I'm testing it out now.

*EDIT*
Yep, it works.
It will be awesomeness to have the full set of that in the game!
Wow, that's great! I didn't know you were trying to replace the SNES SFX with the GBA SFX. Very good! I'll use these in my hack! #w{=D}Free counters!

It's a nice idea, but it messes up the Frog Pirates' sounds. When they croak and hop it uses Yoshi's jumping sample, and when they steal Baby Mario they use his tongue sample (the latter isn't as much of a big deal, though), so things get messed up.

I don't mind, though, since I hate Frog Pirates with a fiery passion and would be more than happy to see them gone. :P
I should get a new layout.

Probably won't, though.

Yeah, they are a pain the arse, but I hope they have some kind of sound pointers, so the old sound can be used again for them. It'd consume free space, but then this thing would be fixed.
Most sound clips only require 0x400 bytes

Edit
I also noticed Kamek's voice(V3) and the one-way blockers are also messed up.

I have 2 questions;

1. I've made 2 levels so far, but when I beat 1-2 and reset the game, World 2-1 opens up. It's the weirdest thing. No levels I edited are the original boss levels, either. Has anyone else had this problem? Heres a screenshot;

2. Has anyone found offsets to re-point certain sprites tiles. I'm interested in re-pointing the Watermelon seed contest Bandit (2p) sprite GFXs.

Well, no, never had a problem comparable to this one. Tell me, what have you edited so far? Only level data plus some Sprites or more? I don't know how all this is connected to resetting the game, but maybe the byte at 0xBF678 is ≠[02]? If so, change it back to [02]. I can't think of any other solution right now.
After I beat 1-2, it moves on normally. World 2 shows up only after I reset the game. That's why I said that. forgot to add. I also up the world music by +1 so you hear W2 map theme on W1. I'll check to see if thats a problem, but GoYo did it in his hack.
I have a problem :

After I create a custom icon, I save. And I saw the map screeen, i saw that the icon of 1-1 didn't change! Please help!
While editing AllGFX.bin, did you have Golden Egg open? And did you make a change to the level after editing the icon?Free counters!
I did that but it still didn't work
You must make sure your ROM is not open in Golden Egg whilst you edit the graphics. This is because Golden Egg uses the ROM from when it was opened in the editor. In other words, it is not a "real-time" editor.Free counters!
@Y for yoshi:
But you DO know, that you must re-insert the graphics into the ROM, so the changes take effect? Also make sure, that neither the .bin file nor the ROM is read-only!
In addition, after re-inserting the graphics, make sure to load the game from the title screen, not a savestate. (Well, a savestate might work, but if so, refresh the world map by selecting a different world or entering a level or something.)
