Tetris Attack Glitch

Can anyone explain this? This is the first time I have seen this!



I was playing with my brother and this happened. He lost because the glitched blocks never came down.

The left one is his side, the right one is his brother's side.

You are right. I am the left side and my brother is the right side. I don't know how this happened. This is the first time. Has anyone else seen this?

Wow, I got that on my first plays of that game. Thus, I concluded that the game was impossible and sold it right away. It must not run dropping routines for glitched blocks as if they're not descending. But now I wonder if lining it up with any other squares causes it to go away...

Guess that's what happens when you try to mess with the original Tetris workings and produce an "original" game.

One problem with that: This game has absolutely nothing to do with Tetris at all. Or Yoshi/Mario, in fact! It was given the Tetris name and YI characters to help generate more sales. The original game was called Panel de Pon and was about fairies. I think that back then, fairies were considered "girly" things and boys would never want to play the game if it was about fairies, so they changed it to a YI theme instead and renamed it Tetris Attack, since Tetris was (and still is, I believe) very popular. I highly doubt they based it on Tetris code AT ALL.

Anyways... How exactly did that glitch happen? I've never seen anything like it in all my years of playing TA. o_O

EDIT: by the way, I have no idea what Panel de Pon means at all. As far as I know, no one's translated it before, so it's just Panel de Pon everywhere. (I mean the title itself, not the game. The game's been translated, I know that- but even the translation shows the title as "Panel de Pon".)

I do not know. My brother told me that right when the garbage blocks fell down, he made a match. I don't know how but it happened.#w{}
