Hey everybody, I'm sure none of you know who I am, but I have been working on a hack called Super Mario World: The Next Generation.
Here's the story:
A thousand years after Mario, Princess Toadstool, and Bowser had passed away, young Zach was sleeping in a field, when Princess Rosa screamed, Zach awoke and saw Bowserk flying way with Rosa and a bunch of Yoshi eggs in his Clown Car 2.0. Zach got up packed his stuff and ran off after him.
Is that a submap? If so, how do you get to the switch?
You should probably learn how to reveal level tiles in the events.
The waterfall looks kinda weird; add a top to it.
There is cutoff near the castle and near those hills.
Don't spam small hills near the ghost house.
The ground palette looks uck. Change it.
The yellow munchers look weird. Maybe it's just me.
I don't think there's enough screenshots to show-off just yet.
Show us a second level or something!
Hey, since you're not using a Mario-related character, you may be interested in changing the player GFX. Maybe you could try this, but it depends on what you want. There are tons in the Graphics section, as well.

Location: Keeping it weird
I don´t think the colors are bad, since they fit with the goombas
and stuff. And maybe you could use some soft blue colors in the BG.
I just think the level is too easy, so you coould use
some other enemyes to [surprise] atack the player.
